Merritt Funeral Home offers many different services. Our training and experience have prepared us to help, to reassure, and to understand when a family faces the loss of a loved one. We are here to replace confusion with calm, doubts with certainty, and questions with answers. Here, one finds a quiet gentleness in an atmosphere of dignity, efficiency, and trust.
Merritt Funeral Home offers a variety of monuments and can provide a substantial savings to you and your family. Each memorial we create is engraved and installed by our staff. We are knowledgeable about the requirements of our local cemeteries and would be glad to assist you with any questions regarding monuments.
A traditional service for burial, entombment or cremation, is usually the service of choice. At Merritt Funeral Home we believe in the traditional funeral, because it best serves the needs of family and friends. The traditional service is a meaningful expression for the family, and it gives friends and associates an opportunity to offer their tributes in the way of flowers or memorials to churches or organizations.
Contrary to what most people believe, cremation does not limit one's choices. The choice of cremation does not eliminate a funeral service. A funeral service followed by cremation need be no different than a funeral service followed by ground burial. Following the funeral service and cremation, the cremated remains are usually placed in an urn before being committed to a final resting place.

I would recommend Merritt Funeral Home to anyone. They were patient, helpful and understanding. At no time was there a sales pitch. They asked what I wanted and they did it. They took care of everything, and for that I am grateful.

I want to express my sincerest appreciation to the Merritt family for facilitating my mother's funeral (Caridad Laboy) and interment with dignity, and professionalism with the utmost care. Their compassion and sensitivity was experienced throughout this solemn occasion. May the Lord bless the Merritt family and their calling as they lay to rest future family members with integrity.

My uncle passed away at home and was transferred to Merritt's Brooksville, FL location by the local authorities. In attempting to try to help my mom manage his affairs from 1000 miles away, I was treated very rudely. They were less than helpful when we asked for details about timelines, and if there was anyway to speed the process to limit the amount of time my mom would need to spend away from home. When we ultimately chose to move my uncle's body to another funeral home, the director called my mom to tell her that I was "nasty" with him and that we needed to have the new home pick up his body

Compassionate, professional, honest and affordable. Worried free from arrangements they handle it all. I was lighthearted with no burdons since they help in every way to work with you. I am very pleased with their services they provided for my dad, and I recommend their services to all. Thank you

I used Merritt Funeral to arrange the transfer of my Mother from Spring Hill to North Carolina. The care and services prior to her transfer were not handled as promised. Management at Merritt denied any responsibility and were rude, dismissive and unapologetic. I feel they disrespected my Mother. I would not recommend this company and will tell as many people as possible about my awful experience. I am thankful for the staff of the Miller Funeral Home in North Carolina for making things right with Mom as well as their kindness and compassion.

They provided nothing but the best care for me and my family when my sister passed. It gave me comfort, knowing that they have their own crematory. Mr. Merritt was very thorough, and I felt comfortable knowing that my sister was being taken care of in a dignified manor.

I was treated with the up most respect. They allowed me to view their facility WITHOUT an appointment! The faculty was immaculate! I trust them them to care for my family members and myself! They even put in the contract what truly happens, NOT like Brewer & Sons who hinds information you need to know! You can truly trust Merritt Funeral Home.
The staff was compassionate and extremely professional! They are NOT strictly about business!
