I visited this location as part of a requirement for license restoration. I arrived 30 minutes early to fill out their long questionnaire and afterwards was led upstairs to my appointment with Nathan. Nathan was friendly, calm, and genuinely a good person. After my meeting, he even offered to rush my paperwork so I could get it sent off as soon as possible.
If you are ordered to visit this place and are apprehensive or angry about visiting, take a step back and think about where those emotions come from. If you are adamant that you do not have a problem, and won't listen to anyone who says otherwise

Counselor would constantly take personal calls from her family during my appointments. I was a teenager at the time and it really affected me and my relationship with therapy- I felt like an annoyance for her.

I sought counseling with M&S during the worst part of my life. Three years later and my life’s of course not perfect but I remember a lot that they taught me at their liberty place location in Lancaster before it unfortunately closed (such as mindfulness). And if you want help it always helps to hear others stories. Even if you’re shy like I was.
Unfortunately any company that tries to help you with addiction isn’t going to get great reviews. So it’s my duty to them to give mine.
PS: Mike, my counselor, if you’re still working for them after they closed the Lancaster location—thank

Was 15 minutes late due to snow. Told I had to cancel. as I am walking out the door I was told to come back in. Did my intake and was told I had to commit to 5 days a week. 30 hours total. I asked if I could do something less demanding since I work 60 hrs a week? Answer was that normal people dont get duis (which was in 2013). The counselor was in a bad mood or something but when she found out I wasn't on probation she got even more hostile. I went there even though I didn't want to but was willing to give it a try. Not after that intake that felt like sentencing from a judge.

Was attending Diakon for about 6-7 months for drug & alcohol therapy, decided to get a second opinion here, and I recommend if you need treatment, check here first. The counselor I met with said their program takes roughly 1-2 months to complete. I was recommended no further treatment because I attended 3x longer than what they typically do. Don’t waste your time with other counselors trying to scam you, go to Mazzitti & Sullivan’s where they wont try to take advantage of your court/work mandated therapy.

I reached out when I had trouble with my job and wanted some counseling. It seems as if this place only exists for the people who are FORCED into counseling by their job (possibly due to some type of discipline). I felt really weird as the lady at the front desk made me explain to her why I was there. I didn't know why. I needed help. Making me say that in front of 4-5 other people in the lobby was not an enjoyable experience.
The counselor was OK but I didn't feel welcome. I went once. Never again.
Edit: I should add I did indeed have an appointment.

They never want to help you just get you off the phone as soon as possible. I can't believe people use this service. It is paid for by their employers so they don't have to be accountable to the actual people they want to help.

They called me 1/2 hour before my scheduled appointment to cancel it, then put me on hold for 25 minutes for rescheduling, only to have someone whom I couldn't understand (did not speak proper English), get an attitude with me (because I do not know Ebonics), eventually I hung up and went to Gaurdenzia. Pretty much a waste of two weeks for me and what I was trying to do, time is critical....Thank God I didn't end up dead!

I would give zero stars if I could...I had an appointment for a drug evaluation which I had to obtain to comply with ARD. I had the misfortune to see Sylvester Wilson. Mr. Wilson was arrogant, condescending, rude and ultimately, he threatened me with arrest if I did not comply with his wishes. He had no reason nor authority to make such threat and I had done nothing but be as humble, deferent and compliant as possible the entire time I was in his office. He refused to let me explain what I needed to do, he refused to sign my consent for release of information form stating “If I sign that, it

This place is not good. I had to come for a Drug evaluation as part of my ARD. They overcharged like hell and then charge you an extra 25 dollars to type a written report, but they dont tell you that stuff over the phone when you schedule your appointment. Also, they recommended me for beginners group treatment AND individual counseling even tho i passed the drug screening and admitted that i only am an occasional social user (Like once or twice a month). I think they only did that so they could squeeze more money out of me. DO NOT GO HERE
