Simple and classic, Silver + Salt is jewelry that you can wear everyday. Our jewelry is hand-crafted in Seattle, WA using sterling silver, gold, and semi-precious stones.
The Studio Experience is a hands-on workshop where you have the opportunity to craft your own ring or other piece of jewelry. This workshop is perfect for couples who want to infuse their wedding or commitment rings with the shared experience of creating them together or for someone who would like to create their own personal heirloom.
We believe that jewelry is not just about carats and karats. It's a form of self-expression. You want your jewelry to say something about who you are as a person or to symbolize your unique relationship with the person you love. Silver + Salt is looking for a creative person with a passion for handmade jewelry to fill the role of Production Jeweler. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) with the opportunity to grow to a full-time role in the near future.
The ideal candidate has experience making jewelry in sterling silver and 14k gold including fabrication of bezels, basic prong settings, stone setting rose-cuts/cabochons, flush setting, finishing and polishing.We have a new production-only studio in Ballard and a retail studio/showroom in Pike Place Market.

Myself and my partner decided to pop into the shop on a whim, after stumbling upon it during a visit to Seattle. Very, very glad we did - One of the rings caught my eye, and while we didn't purchase it right then, I kept thinking about it even after we went back home to Portland.
While we had rings already picked out, we decided that the one at Silver + Salt was perfect in every way. I cannot praise Christine highly enough. I was just visiting Seattle for a few days, and I made a spur of the moment decision that I needed to propose to my partner before we left. I googled and ran around various jewellery shops looking for a ring, but found nothing I liked. I turned up at Silver + Salt at 5.30pm. I heard about this place from a friend who had some cute items from here. I worked closely with Christine to design my wedding ring set, and couldn't be happier with what she produced. She worked with my general idea, sourced the different stones I wanted and kept me updated during the entire process. When an idea we originally discussed wasn't going to work as we thought, she clearly explained why and offered a couple suggestions while identifying the pros and cons of each option so I could make the best decision. I've been following Christine's jewlery collection since she was first in Ballard last year and her style is always chic and unique. When I saw that she offers jewlery making workshops and have experience for making engagement rings, I was all over it.
