The team at Zahand is dedicated to helping children (and adults) not only learn karate, but discipline, structure and respect for others. They truly care about the well being of each child and their families. They go above and beyond to make sure they will succeed at martial arts, and at life. Zahand’s is truly top of the line! The family that owns it could not be more professional and a pleasure to deal with. They take their time to get to know each kid and genuinely care/root for each child to become the best version of themselves. They take time out of their day to make personal phone calls to check in on the child outside of classes and sit down with you to discuss what you want your child to get out of the program and explain the cost. Zahand’s Martial Arts is a best in class organization. I grew up watching my brother, who was taught by Hanshi Zahand, rise through the ranks from white belt to black belt over 20 years ago. I can honestly say, he, along with his family and staff, have continued to elevate their ability to successfully teach and instill what I call hard skills and soft skills. We had my son’s 6th birthday party at Zahand’s Martial Arts with another friend and I couldn’t have asked for a better day! We had a group of about eighteen 5-6 year old boys and Sensei Matt had them all engaged and happy for almost 2 hours! I loved watching the boys learning the basics of martial arts in such a fun way. They especially loved the dancing and dodgeball at the end! The staff were super helpful and the facility was clean. Sensei Matt was very extremely helpful throughout the planning process. I wanted to put my daughter in a marital arts program that would teach her how to use her electric energy in a positive way. She has become more focused these last four months. Her self control is developing more every week. Hard work pays off, and I love how she enjoys learning a new way to respect others, herself, and about the culture of martial arts as a whole! Zahand's is a great place to take your kids! All of their staff is super friendly and knowledgeable with a true passion for what they teach and for the kids they teach! Though we were only a part of the family for a short time, due to a change in circumstances, they were super understanding and very helpful in accommodating our needs. I highly recommend checking out Zahand's to see the skills that they will help to improve and instill in your kids.

My 4 year old has been at Zahand’s for a couple months and it is just what he needed! It’s so much more than just karate. They emphasize doing and being a good person, learning eight and wrong. They even check with parents to see what each specific shield needs work on. My kid has really grown since starting here. A special place, glad we found it!

Zahand's is fine, but their billing company is the worst. Beware before you sign the contract, I wish I listened to the other reviews. I called to cancel, they told me I had one month left on my contract and I had to pay that first. Fine, I paid it. Only to find out 2 months later that they didn't cancel my contract, because I had to email a written request to cancel. Never before did they mention that. Of course, they magically don't have record that I even called. Now they are threatening to put it on my CREDIT or pay $200ish for services we never used!! YES, that's right

Best dojo in all of Ohio, A+ all the way around. Really like the coaching staff and seeing traditional shotikan karate still alive.

The school is a fantastic place for children to learn, develop, and play. The teachers are attentive and assertive. I loved that the teachers encouraged the parents to put down the cellphones and be a part of their child's experience. The facility is clean, spacious and very nice. If my review were based purely on my experience with these things, it would be 5 stars.
