A beautiful venue with vast grounds and a rich history. The Facilities Manager, Pasquale loves to share stories and knows every detail of this gorgeous campus. This place should definitely be on the short list if you are planning a wedding, corporate event, etc in Fairfield County!

Rooms were recently remodeled and upgraded. Other facilities, gym and equipment are in need of a big time upgrade. Pool was closed. You really are better of having meals offsite.

Absolutely cannot recommend enough the service at Lakota Oaks. I was in a hurry and left some things in my drawers, and they were nice enough to mail it to me. Their chef is excellent; and provided a plethora of options, including plant-based. Everyone is super nice, from the front desk, to the bartender, to the waitstaff. It's professionalism to the core, but with that warm touch that makes you feel it's personal.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my.
Yea they got all that at the LaKota Oaks. I thought it was going to be larger, 1 star off for that. Checking my ID (so I get a residents discount) gratuitously and not letting the lady friend get it, 1 star off.
Nice zoo, good bang for the buck. Well kept and easily accessible by public transport, L train. Go check it out, bring some alcohol with you.

We recently had our wedding at LaKota Oaks.
A beautiful and tranquil place to celebrate. The service is wonderful from the moment you check-in to the moment you check-out. Hazel, their catering manager, is truly a gem.

Where do we start?
If you’re planning a wedding or large celebration hurry because if they keep doing what they do, they will be fully booked!
Our guests loved the FOOD, they loved the VENUE, they loved the STAFF, and all a two minute walk to the well-appointed rooms - what more could we ask.
LaKota Oaks made our dream of a reunion wedding WEEKEND a reality - from a Friday welcome dinner to a Sunday farewell breakfast it was everything we hoped it would be, and more.
Hazel steers the ship like a seasoned captain. Christine runs the restaurant but is perfectly happy to give tours if you look

Location is beautiful but we were part of a wedding party and kept encountering issues with the food service. There were no clear hours for room service, bar service or even when we were allowed to use the restaurant. They kept changing it depending on what group or event they were hosting. The hotel is far from the nearest commercial areas so we could not go out to eat quickly unless we had a car service since the hotel does not offer a shuttle. When we went to ask for the manager to see if we could get at least a place of fruit or cheese he wasn’t available and the attitude of the front desk

I went to a company retreat here and have a lovely stay. The property is beautiful and as a former Monastery, it has a lot of interesting history.
The staff is great. The food is delicious...AND I was able to schedule an in-room massage! This place is a hidden gem for sure.

Although the grounds are beautiful, the design is nice, the ambience is relaxed and the staff very polite, I would not give this hotel more than 3 stars because they can use a huge upgrade. The bottom floor rooms have a very strong smell and feel of mold growing there. The third floor (where we ended up staying) was passable.
