I cannot say enough great things about the staff and the quality of care I have received from Bergen Veterinary. Nearly every staff member - from the kind, compassionate receptionists; incredibly knowledgeable vet techs; and standout vets. You never feel they are trying to upsell unnecessary services and no one is pushy. While the facility is a little on the older and more crowded side, neither my puppy nor I have ever felt uncomfortable or inconvenienced. Excellent veterinary service. Had to get cat checked for plane flight. They took him last minute and took care of paperwork so my furry friend could fly. Highly recommend

Where do I begin? My cat started acting "funny" and so I took her to a different vet. Blood work showed HIGGGHHH kidney failure. They kept trying for a urine test but couldn't get it. They were a perfectly nice place but NO urgency. That's when I went to Yelp and found THIS PLACE. They were open for my call on a weekend and were able to squeeze her in that Monday.

My cat got her eye surgery here. And they treated us like family. Great trusting place and the staff is spectacular. And they remember your pet and the history which makes it more comfortable and personal.

Not a big fan. Vet did not introduce herself to me or the pets. My cats were super anxious. Told the tech how to lift my cat repeatedly and they didn’t listen and my cat panicked latching onto a techs face. Didn’t complete the full physical. Barely cut cats nails and charged $18 for it. Ran a test for ear mites after me repeatedly saying that she… doesn’t have mites and this is a common issue for my cat. Barbara is very helpful and definitely 5 stars for their caring and compassion to pets. I have moved my pet here because of close proximity to my home and made the best decision for him. Dr.S is very informative and she will inform you ahead what to be done, I'm thankful to have this pet clinic in my neighborhood!

TRUSTING, LOVING AND PROFESSIONAL... this is the first time in my life that have ever had pets and this office has helped me tremendously with all the questions I had and with all the help I needed. The staff is awesome, the location is a perfect distance to my home and the hours are perfect for my schedule. We give them a high-five and a high-paw!

We brought our 8 week old kitten here. This was a very good first visit. The doctor and assistant were very patient answering all of our questions. We got some great guidance on things like litter training. Definitely looking forward to the next visit!

I really like the vets and staff at this office! My only complaint is that they refuse to work with online pharmacies. I understand this for medication that is sold at their pharmacy, but one of my pet’s medications is not sold here. It can take weeks to get this medication by mailing in the prescription which can be mitigated by simply approving the script. If I get that medication anywhere locally, it costs $100+ PER MONTH. My one cat was diagnosed with acute renal failure by an emergency vet on Tuesday. A few years ago I brought my other cat here when he was a kitten, and unfortunately we have not been here since. This place is truly an answer to prayers. As a momma to 4 kitties (rescues who I would label as friendly to us, semi feral to strangers) I was on the search for a local vet who could handle these spicy kitties (they're all named after spices )

I am writing this review as a former veterinarian at Bergen Veterinary Hospital. I worked for the clinic for 3 months when I had already decided to move to France and to take a sabbatical year. I decided to stay in France, but I still miss Bergen Vet. Dr. Suss, Dr Gordon, and their newest veterinarian Dr. Ferruggario (who I worked with elsewhere and recommended for when I left) hold themselves standard than any other veterinarians I worked with in my 10 year clinical career. They are honest, extremely well educated and just trying to do the right thing for their clients. It's

If you love your pet, and you take your pet to the vet you at least expect the Vet to take at them.

My dog has had severe itching for a while, and while we have tried to maintain transparency there appears to be a game of telephone with the 6 secretaries, the vet, the technicians, and other helping hands. For a visit, without having a licensed vet look at your animal you are charged $200. The Vet, Dr. Kirk, did us a "service, if not even a favor" for taking a look at the dog on the 3rd visit. $600. He then starts telling us that we are liars and ignored his advice. Keep this in mind

I only know this because I have to go through a process to take time off from work and I have these dates documented as requested time off due to these dates being available at the time we spoke to your office. So happy I found Bergen Veterinary (through a recommendation from a friend) Dr. Suss and Dr. Kirk are the best Veterinarians I have use for my girl Sadie... I never understood the lack of care my prior… veterinarian gave to my dog until I switched. I wish I had only found Bergen Veterinary sooner! everyone is compassionate and caring and thorough!

This is a great practice I’m glad I found them Dr. Suss and all the other doctors, vet tech and staff are so professional and are very caring and compassionate. Dr. Suss explained everything to us with care and kindness when it was time for our fur baby to cross over the rainbow bridge. This practice truly stands out from the rest and I highly recommend it.

This is the most expensive place I have ever brought my dogs. They are definitely in this for the money and for nothing else. They do procedures on pets without consulting the owner and NEVER tell you the price of the treatment beforehand. I have never walked out of that place with a bill less than $300.00, even for routine things like shots or simple ear infection. I am definitely switching vets.

Dr.suss is amazing! Marisol is great! Honest attentive doctor. Dr.suss does not work saturdays and only some sundays which is fine because their hours are great. But if you have an emergency on the weekend pray that dr. Wagner is in because I once was seen by a sometimes fill in vet Dr.Tracy Cohen and that was a disaster. From a scale of 0-10 I would give Cohen a 2. Wish they wouldn't work with her anymore.

At first I really loved this veterinary hospital and the staff, reminded me a lot like my old vet in Long Island. Very disappointed when it came to ordering an eye ointment prescription for my dog. They charged me $160 for the eye ointment that only costs $80 through the pharmacy company. How do I know? My last vet ordered the same ointment through the same pharmacy company and always charged me $80. So basically they charged me double just for the vets signature! How absurd! I couldn't believe it! What a complete rip off. Thank you for one of the worst services ever. Wouldn't recommend

Coming from NYC, i did not have the highest expectations of vets. I've seen "pretty good ones" in both uptown manhattan and brooklyn and although their diagnosis were correct, i always felt rushed and taken advantage of in terms of money. My puppy pal Banksy had an issue this weekend resulting in it escalating on Monday to the point where he could barely walk. I called a bunch of vets in my area in the city to see if anyone (including the ones open real late) had any last minute appointments. They all said no and didnt seem to care. I highly recommend this animal hospital. Not only was My furry baby treated with love and care at the 1st visit but I felt at ease with how patient and fully complete her examination was . They didn't force any additional expense on us And I left knowing my baby was taken care of And we weren't ripped off. I am so happy to have found this lovable location.
