The Christopher Scott Law Office
The Christopher Scott Law Office was formed to help represent and fight for the rights of people accused of committing crimes and traffic offenses in municipal, state, and federal courts in Kansas and Missouri. As a former prosecutor, Attorney Chris Scott conducted nearly one hundred trials and handled thousands of criminal cases.

He will use his knowledge and experience to thoroughly evaluate your case, educate you and give you honest advice about the charges and evidence the government alleges, and fight for your rights in front of a court or jury if a trial is necessary.
Services
Are you accused of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs? Attorney Chris Scott will use his years of experience prosecuting and litigating DUI cases to navigate you through the criminal and civil process of being charged with DUI or DWI.

Whether charged with misdemeanor or felony DUI/DWI or involuntary manslaughter, Chris will thoroughly examine your case to make sure all available evidence is obtained, determine whether law enforcement legally stopped your vehicle and made a proper arrest, determine whether proper protocol was followed during field sobriety testing and breathalyzer, blood draw, or urine testing, and any other issue involving your rights and liberties during a DUI/DWI investigation.
Whether charged with speeding or driving while suspended, a traffic ticket can cause difficulties for your driving record, insurance rates, and even your freedom. Attorney Chris Scott has significant experience in all traffic matters from his time managing traffic dockets as a state prosecutor. Chris will educate you on potential defenses, fines, and other penalties including how your allegation can affect your driver's license.
Misdemeanor and felony drug crime convictions carry significant penalties including jail or prison, and can cause future issues obtaining employment in certain careers. Attorney Chris Scott has years of experience with hundreds of misdemeanor and felony drug cases from his time as a state prosecutor, including his time prosecuting in the gang and drug unit at the Shawnee County DA's Office.
Along with the social stigma which comes from being convicted of a sex crime, a person likely faces significant and devastating penalties such as years in prison or offender registration. Attorney Chris Scott has trial and litigation experience in cases for rape, sexual battery, lewd and lascivious behavior, and other sex crimes.
Have you been accused of a property crime such as burglary or theft? Attorney Chris Scott prosecuted hundreds of cases involving property crimes including misdemeanor and felony theft, possession of stolen property, burglary, and criminal damage to property. Property crime cases often involve long investigations by law enforcement, and can even include DNA, fingerprint, or other scientific analysis.

Report
Chris Scott was a court appointed lawyer we got for my son. Often you think court appointed means they may not put in the work. However, Chris did a great job, he listened to the family’s concerns, and he put together a case that got my son’s charges dismissed. I’m appreciative. And I would seek him out in the future.
