Orthopedic Massage Therapy is combining science and intuition to expand a persons continuum of care options. Orthopedic Massage focuses on a holistic and comprehensive method of practicing massage therapy and combines many of massage therapies most effective techniques to treating soft tissue dysfunction.
It is vital that the following twelve steps are not used as a "cookbook" approach to therapy. Each step is dependent on the client's individual response to the preceding step. You do not progress to the next step until each area of tension is appropriately released.

It is critical to apply specific work to release specific structures and also critical to differentiate between soft tissue problems due to myofascial restrictions, versus trigger point tension, or strained muscle fibers since the specific release techniques for each will vary greatly. The goal is to maintain structure, posture, movement and balance.
Massage assessment is not a diagnosis, and massage treatment is not a substitute for proper medical attention. Massage assessment is an on-going process of information gathering that is used to assist the massage therapist in making his/her clinical decisions regarding their treatment plan. Suggestions made and any information given by the massage therapist are FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY and DOES NOT CONSTITUTE MEDICAL ADVICE!
Known as conventional medicine, allopathy is a medical approach which seeks to cure by producing a condition in the body different than, or opposite to, the condition that exists within the diseased state. Applied Kinesiology is a healing system that evaluates and treats an individual's structural, chemical, and mental aspects.

Mark does great work and is a kind and empathetic care giver. He fixed my sciatica, which I feared might never go away.

Absolutely would recommend Mark to anyone. I see Mark because traditional massage does not work for me. I suffer from chronic lower back discomfort partly due to constant muscle tightening which then pulls on my skeletal system. Mark is a genuine nice guy who understands the body well. He listens to your concerns and concentrates on not only making you feel better by reducing your stress to your mind and body but allowing it and you to function comfortably.
