I have been in dentistry for 16 years. I am a native Tucsonan. My favorite things to do when I am out of the office is to go 4 wheeling with my mom to see and enjoy our pretty desert. I love spending time with my family and power lifting. My best friend is named Gary (my pitty dog). I have been in the dental field for over 25 years.

I broke a crown and needed it repaired. Dr. Hammel could replace it in one visit because she owns the equipment to image my mouth in 3d and to cut the new crown. The new crown is of exceptional quality. It looks and works great! In the past, at other dental offices, I would have to go to two appointments and wear a temporary crown for a few weeks. What a relief to have it done in one visit. Dr. Hammel and her staff are very professional and made me feel at ease. Her office processed my insurance paperwork with no problems.

Big thank you to Dr. Hammel and her amazing team for helping me get my smile back! I had chipped a couple teeth right before thanksgiving and they did everything possible to make sure I could smile and eat with my family on turkey day! I hadn't been to the dentist for a few years due to insurance and anxiety/bad experiences, and I'm so glad I went to Hammel Dentistry! Everyone was so kind and understanding--there was no judgment that I hadn't been to a dentist for a while. I ended up needing a crown and the whole team was very attentive and checked in a lot during the process. Dr. Hammel restored my faith in dentists. I had to move away and it's been so hard to find a dentist office that's as good.

Dr. Hammel and her staff is by far the best dental office in town. They're all highly-trained and extremely compassionate people. I truly feel at home there. I have PTSD and going out in public can be very stressful for me. Everyone there understands my special needs and limitations. I am not judged in any way and that means a lot to me.

Dr Hammel and the entire staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Dr Hammel took care of a few fillings for me quickly and painlessly. Helen regularly cleans my teeth and I have never felt any pain or discomfort I was and still am very happy with the results of the entire staff. I highly recommend them!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Hammel for six years and have had a lot of dental work done (mostly crowns) in addition to regular cleanings. Dr. Hammel and her staff are truly wonderful. From the surprisingly tolerable numbing process (my least favorite part) to dealing with my persnickety insurance company (their least favorite part), they are always professional, helpful, friendly, relaxed, and -- most importantly -- really good at what they do. Highly recommend!

I have moved around approximately every 3 to 4 years of my life and with every move came a new dentist. Dr. Hammel is THE BEST DENTIST I have ever seen. Her staff is not only incredibly knowledgable but they also make you feel very comfortable and at ease and take time to truly make you feel welcome! Dr Hammel is wonderful and the staff is excellent. She has been my dentist for several years. Her equipment and techniques are advanced and efficient. She makes suggestions and explains the options and isn't pushy. She allows you to make well informed decisions about treatment. I decided to replace a bridge (front teeth) that I had had in place for 30 years. The process was better than I remember the first time. It looks very natural and is a better match and more comfortable. She took her time making sure my bite was exactly right. I absolutely recommend Dr Hammel and her staff.

Dr. Hammel has my dentist for the last several years and she is the best dentist I have ever had work on my teeth. Dr. Hammel and her staff are highly qualified and make the experience pleasant and pain free. I have had two crowns, one filling and two composite resins. All with no issues. I am glad I discovered her when she first opened her office. Her caring attitude and professional drive for perfection are why I keep going back.

Excellent Dentist in Tucson!
This is my first "real" dentist after spending 10 years in the military. Dr. Hammel has a soft touch and does a great job explaining the care I need.
Unfortunately I needed to have a cavity filled, but somehow she was able to give me a shot with very minimal discomfort, I was surprised when she told me it was already over!
Her hygienists are really nice and the office has warm feel to it.
Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dentist in central Tucson!
