The doctors are good. But I had a horrible experience ordering my glasses. I tested different frames and asked for the Longchamp octagonal glasses (Dec 2020). The trial/display piece had non-tinted glasses, and I asked to add tint (I pointed to a Salvador Ferragamo frame for color reference for the tint). I asked for the total price, paid my portion in full. One month later (Jan 2021), I call in to check if my glasses are in and they said it had arrived just that day. I have had 3 exams here, one for contacts and 2 for glasses, and none of these prescriptions were good. I do have a "slight astigmatism" but haven't experienced as much discomfort as I have with prescriptions from MMO.
They also recently switched out of my network insurance but assured me that they would discount as a courtesy as if insurance was covering. I waited a month for my glasses and finally called them about it. They said they didn't have my order and would call me back. I called to make an appointment, the lady who answered says give me a couple of minutes while I check and placed me on hold. 22 minutes later I decided to hang up.
I called back and said that I called about 20 minutes ago and was wondering if there were any appointments available.
Her exact words, "yeah I know you called, I don't have time right now, I busy. Don't call".

Lacking attention to detail in scheduling appointments via telephone call between me and your staff member on the correct month of December instead of November for my dependent son and daughter caused a major inconvenience in my children's academic online classes. Though Dr G was accommodating to see Ryan that late morning at 11am on 12/09/2020, she failed to inform me what really happened.

I just got notified that my personal data has been stolen due to a "data security incident" that took place in October. This is an example of why I never put my social security number on any form in medical offices.

I paid 110 euros to discover than my ad can only be found when searching on the name of the neighbourhood (that nobody knows!), and not when searching on the name of the city! Immoweb refused to change it, and also doesn't want to pay me back. It almost feels like a scam. Next time I'll use Zimmo again, they have a much better search function and overall website, are cheaper and provide better customer support (when I called them, the helpdesk simply said they decided not to respond to my email because they couldn't fix it anyway).

Came back for my yearly and have to say STILL the best providers office around! Maggie was amazing in getting me pre-tested (which included following COVID19 protocol) and finding me an amazing deal on my new glasses! I paid $100 for the frame, lens, & add-ons on a super simple, but sylish pair. Dr. Guiang is very thorough, but also works quickly. I had my contacts and glasses exams both done in about 20-25 minutes!!! & As I left, the staff all said goodbye to me in unison lol. Love it here!!

Dr. Guiang and his team are amazing group of health professionals who put your health and your safety first. I've always had a positive experience with them ever since I moved to San Diego. Their eye exams are quick and informative, and they never make you feel like just any other patient. It's obvious that Dr. Guiang is very passionate about his line of work. I was very impressed with the eye exams that were completed prior to seeing the doctor. I explained to the doctor what I wanted in regards to wearing glasses. She listened and we made a pair to accommodate my reading documents at my desk and my computer. Perfect!
I was so impressed I had my husband have his exam done. They had plenty of options for an appointment. In looking at glasses, their clerk brought over a pair of sunglasses and popped the lens after listening to what my husband wanted. They were exactly what he wanted. I just had my annual eye exam and thought I should write a review because this time around I had an amazing experience. In general Mira Mesa Optometry is a good clinic. The staff is very friendly, the service is steller & the selection of product is pretty good. The past few years I've had different Doctors give me my exam. They were all great, but this year I had Dr. Cheng & she was fantastic. She took the time during our examination to explain the different tests that she's running & the purpose behind them. Picked this optometrist as it's close to home and had fairly good reviews! To be honest I've gone a couple years without renewing both my glasses and contacts prescriptions so I was in dire need of a check up (yay new insurance). Before I had gone to neovision optometry across the street at the target shopping center and the vision center on the miramar base - both spots chosen for me by my parents so it was nice to have my own choice for once! Also want to mention that I've waited till after I received all my contacts/glasses to make this first impression review!

Parking is shared with other business. There is construction at the Mira Mesa mall so parking can be limited at times. Some construction dust. Most driveways to get into the mall are low car friendly.
This place is right next to the $1 dollar store. This place has a good selection of frames. Pricing is very competitive depending on your insurance. The workers there are nice and informative.
I ordered my prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses there. It takes about 7-10 business days. I called after 2 weeks in the morning they said they didn't have it in yet. I called in the afternoon

UPDATE 29 -07- 2019. After my initial post Immoweb contacted me immediately and arranged a full refund of the transactions. My situation is resolved to the best of my interest.
I experienced some unauthorized writes-off for around EUR 130 from my bank account through Immoweb web-site. I suppose this is a fraud and my bank is now dealing with my claim. Anyway, I also emailed to Immoweb about this situation asking them to investigate the issue and make their security service aware of that. And guess what - there's NO reaction from Immoweb to my initial email and to the follow-ups... I can't understand

So glad I went to another optometrist for another exam a year after feeling a bit off about the frames and glasses And contacts from here.
The frames and contact selections here that they try hard to sell to you (contacts have to be prescribed by brand so wouldn't you offer patients the better and recent brands) had my eyes irritated, temples aching, and just always tired.

And my prescription at a different office one year later is .5+ different and way more comfortable, but I can't rate on that because they probably were just going by their machines

Overpriced and bad service! Once you paid a lot of money for a small place on their website and you want to make a change after more then 10 days you can't (example: Qty of rooms 2 instead of 1 or Postal code ..) When i call to the customer service they tell you to buy a new space on the website. Pur rip off! IMMO SCOOP much easier and more honest people. STAY AWAY from IMMOWEB !!

I went into Mira Mesa for a standard contact lens eye exam, which I've done multiple times in the past at other optometrist's offices. When I got to the back room the girl quoted me the price telling me I'd have to pay a $10 copay (which is incorrect, my copay is $40), plus a fitting fee of $75 - $125 for the fitting, which my insurance would only cover 10%.
I immediately pushed back, because I knew right away the $75 - $125 was for a premium fitting, which I've never needed in the past and even if something had changed and I would need it now, they hadn't even looked

After 26 years of life.... it's finally time to get glasses! Since this is my first ever legit optometry appt, I really didn't know what to expect. I called for an appointment, which was super easy. Since I didn't have insurance, it costs me $120 I think...
Many people have told me that this is pricey compared to others, but to be honest, I believed that it was honestly worth it because they put you through so many eye tests and Dr. Guiang explains everything extremely clear and even has moving diagrams on his computer to tell you EXACTLY what's going on with your eyes. I've been going to get my eye exams here the past few years. It is a bit pricey even if you have top, full coverage vision insurance (I somehow still pay about $75 out of pocket). But I guess the exams are more "comprehensive", supposedly as they also check not just vision but also for general eye health as well.
