Previously, he co-founded Taxi Magic (now known as Curb), the first on-demand mobile transportation booking technology company, and worked at Google and BCG.

A Georgian immigrant, he was also the first student from the Soviet Union allowed to attend a private U.S. high school without a government sponsorship. He holds a BA in Political Science from Middlebury College. Previously, he was the Managing VP of Digital at Capital One, where he led the bank's technology transformation to mobile.

The Shift Concierge will evaluate your vehicle and, if applicable, make adjustments to the initial offer based on condition. Only responsive up until they take your car. after that, texting the person who picked up your car will be pointless. no response after that for a question. emails to follow up are not reaponded to in timely manner.

Again, when you are in the process, they respond like you are the only customer they have. after that, they respond like they could care less, if they reply.

also, they take a while to pay your existing loan or lease. You will most likely be paying another month on your loan/lease while they process and get their act together.

Not a scam but there purchasing process needs work. I was told to come in right away and the process was quick 3 easy steps after which an ACH transfer would be sent to me within a few days. All in all the process takes just a few days. The reps who work there need to understand how system actually processes these deals, there is an additional 48 hour waiting period for an "internal inspection" of your vehicle plus they are short staffed and extremely busy so your timeline gets pushed out. The PLAID integration with your bank and their payment system can fail so they should have IT staff

I am happy with the car that I purchased from Shift, however they did sneak in a Shift Service Fee of $1250 in the pricing. Be aware that the price listed is not the full amount you pay and you should be wary that they will add in cost if they can. I asked what the fee was for ad there was no justification given only that it was in the fine print.

What you see is what you're not getting!

Well I went to buy a Frontier Truck Nissan 2015 and SV6 cylinder manual for 21,000. Did the financing thing and then a few hours later the photos changed from a MANUAL transmission to a AUTOMATIC. They had a manual photo thats what I wanted. Ok here's the problem vechiles manual transmission photo look just like the auto transmission photo. So that's not the vehicle I WAS getting. Don’t let the “non haggle” fool you or make you think you can’t negotiate. They’re a dealership and you can always negotiate. I had a bad experience with my first appointment. The vehicle was not in ready to sell conditions and would not turn on for my test drive. A first bad impression. A complete waste of time and gas. The “manager” offered to compensate. I asked him if he could discount the service fee which was $800 for the vehicle I was interested in. The manager said $1200 is too high assuming the service fee was $1200. I found a car on their website Which was available purchase on their website. They claim their website is LIVE. I took an uber early morning to go get it and with an appointment I still had to wait to do the test drive, I had plans to go on a trip with tje car but the check engine light was on . I guess they missed that when they check the other 200 points they claim they checked!!!

They said they will fix it and Ill have to come back again and pay the full price once it's ready

Just want people to know this could happen to them also.

I was supposed to receive a call back in a week so I had time to decide on an extended warranty. I WAS NEVER CALLED!!!
Within a month and a half the following happened with the car:
The battery needed to be replaced!!
The back left tire does not hold air and needs to be filled every two weeks!!
The key to the trunk stopped working and the trunk can now only be opened by using the release by the driver's side door!!!
This is NOT professional of what is to be a reputable company!!!

I had an amazing experience. I got approved before I came to test drive my Mercedes truck and received $200 off. THEN EVERYONE WAS SO HELPFUL when I arrived. Worst car buying experience ever. Here is a list of all the horrible things that went wrong when buying a car from this place.

1. I put 250$ down-payment on a car that I was told is in Los Angeles. The car was electric with a 80 mile distance on a single charge so they agreed to transport the car to San Diego.

2. Days go by and I hear nothing about the car. I call and they say its not left LA yet and they will tell me when its in SD. More days go by so I call and they tell me now they won't transport the car and I need to pick it up. They offered me some buy it now scheme and a transportation

Had an amazing experience calling for information, as I was a new car buyer and had no idea where to start with the process. Sandy Barillas left me a voicemail prompting me to call back, and I'm glad I did! She was so professional, patient, and kind about answering all my questions. I would've felt lost without her! I really thought she was the manager with that amazing attitude. Turns out she wasn't, but she really should be :)
Sadly, both times they delivered the car for a test drive, there were issues (popped tire, and bad brakes). I decided not to purchase the car after that, but the experience

I came to look at cars ( my brother bought it) we asked for a discount on some scratches and wear and tear that weren't listed on the website. The guy that helped us was nice , but he had to ask his supervisor for this discount. He had left his email signed in on the iPad we were using and we saw the supervisor replied with (no more than (....$) these people are phishing for discount ) how rude !! these defects weren't listed on the website which is why we asked.

I have been on the market for new (used) car for the past several months. After spending countless of hours online comparing cars from many different dealers, I just couldn't find a decent car for the price I was looking for. Most dealers advertise a vehicle online for a certain price to get you in, then afterwards hit you with all these extra fees/add-ons and try to pressure you to accept their terms. I was very close to purchasing a vehicle that was previously used as a rental, but ended up walking out at the last minute and I am so glad I did.

The text from your company stated and I quote, "the vehicle you scheduled for a test drive had a hiccup that needs attention", sounds like the car to me! Anyhoo, you didn't address why I was notified 4 hours later from my appointment time and sending a text at 8pm at night is not very professional!

I'm in the market looking to purchase a vehicle and my sister told me about Shift. Shift sounded simple and stress free. Look for a car ask for a test drive and they come to you and allow you 20 mins to test drive either with a rep in the car or not
