The Central Mass School was founded in 1970 by John R. St. Jacques, RMT. Prior to beginning the school, Mr. St. Jacques established a massage practice at his residence, known as the Pain- Free Clinic in the small town of North Brookfield, Massachusetts. He continued his education and soon earned a respectful reputation throughout the area.
Our full diploma program in massage and spa therapy combines the best of two great professions. In response to the most recent trends within the industry, CMS has developed a training program of which prepares students for the present and the future. Years of experience in education indicate that students possessing multiple talents are by far most sought after by luxury spas, resorts, cruise ships and most importantly the general public.
We know that Financial Aid is extremely important in allowing you to continue with your career goals. Our dedicated Financial Aid Officer will help you in obtaining the maximum allowable aid.* Section 30 - Central Mass School of Massage & Therapy is an approved training facility for Section 30 - Division of Unemployment Assistance (DUA).
Today Massage Therapy has evolved to what is now known as complementary health care and includes many specialty areas. The term holistic is often used to describe learned techniques that influence the body, mind and spirit. At CMS, students learn a wide variety of specialty techniques and become very confident in their applications.
Beginning with the Personal Care Homemaker Certificate, learn the basic skills needed to safely and effectively care for an individual in their home. Personal Care Homemakers assist with housekeeping, shopping, laundry, essential errands, basic meal planning and preparation, and being a companion to a home bound client.
