Being an owner operator truck driver means that you pretty much run your own business, but haul other businesses cargo. Non-Trucking Use (NTU) Liability Insurance is for the Owner Operator who leases their truck for the long-term. Non-Trucking Use Liability coverage, formerly referred to as Bobtail Coverage, becomes effective when you're using your truck for a non-business purpose, such as driving to the store, picking up groceries or many other things.
Owner-operators and contract drivers who qualify as independent contractors are usually not covered by state workers compensation laws. This is where Occupational Accident coverage comes in. Occupational Accident coverage can cover an independent contractor for an injury sustained while performing duties associated with your owner-operator trucking business.
Collision insurance protects your truck or vehicle from damages caused by a collision whether it be with another vehicle or a stationary object. Collision coverage will also protect your vehicle from damages incurred from rolling or overturning. Comprehensive Insurance on the other hand provides your truck or vehicle with insurance protection from damages caused by things other than collision.

These people are the most incompetent group I have ever dealt with. My car was hit well over 2 months ago and I still have not been paid because they can’t get my information right. No one asked for my current address, they just went off my registration after I told them I didn’t live there anymore. They totaled my car out and when I presented them… with the KBB value they said they don’t go off private seller pricing just trade in value, which is unfair because my car is older and I know I could have made way more off it from a private seller. They’re rude, unknowledgeable

One of their clients hit my car while it was parked. The total amount of damage was about $2,000. Repairs took one day longer due to something that their estimator missed. They are refusing to pay for the last day of the rental car. They have bought a lot of bad will for the $30 they would not cover. If my car was damaged by their client, they should make me whole, and I should not have any out of pocket costs.
