There was this receptionist with glasses that was really helpful with us and helped us book a room last minute.
The room we had was 357 on the top floor and for some reason we kept hearing taps and little footsteps and knocks on the ceiling it would stop but then continue for a longer period of time, even when we were asleep
There's was nothing wrong with room the heater and everything else was great.

Unfortunately we canceled our reservation for ßthe Vanllee Hotel. It was a so-called refurbished/upgraded hotel. The upgrade is a Motel 6 level of upgrade at best. Staff was very professional and accommodating about canceling after check in. My suggestion to owners. If you can step up the upgrade a level or two then do it!! The bright orange paint on the open drawer style dressser is not good. You can't install a new sink and leave the old lime filled shower head etc. Two elevators were out of order minimum. The tile and grout in bathroom was horrible...Definitely from Embassy Suite days. Vanllee

When you first drive up to this place it looks really nice but that's as far as that goes. This hotel is nothing like what the pictures show very dirty people outside in the back just hanging out late at night didn't feel for my wife and kids to walk around alone and for the price I would not recommend this to any family.

When I saw the gunk smeared on the door, I figured, "Oh well. It's not a big deal". But the mucus in the bathroom drain NO WAY. I called the front desk and told the young man that answered about the bathroom sink. He didn't understand what I was saying so to be more clear I said, "Snot, mucus, mocos!" He responded, " Oh. What else is wrong?" I told him, "Isn't that enough?" So I proceeded to tell him about the gunk smeared on the outside of the door and I told him I wanted a different room. He said they could send someone to clean it. I wondered

On 8/28 i just drove into town from a business trip, and had a reservation to stay at the vanllee for one night, because our house close by was being remodeled. i arrived at 3pm and the front desk charged me $203.83 for the one night stay, an $200. dollar deposit.
when i open the door to the room it smelled like urine, and all the cabinet doors were opened in the kitchen area,
the floor in the front room and the bed room area was dirty with black marks, and some kind of small animal feces.

Hotel was filthy and run down. Floor inside room made my feet black from walking barefoot, microwave was dirty with old food and mold. Tried two different rooms but both just as dirty as the other. First room didn’t have a working fridge and the freezer section had mold the shower rod was falling off the wall and the tub was rusted. And there was a plastic bag around the smoke detector, a huge safety hazard. In second room we had caterpillars and more dirt. Ac didn’t work in either of the rooms it was hot and humid my whole stay. Asked for extra towels and they never brought them. Stay was

Worst hotel I have stayed at. Supposedly was given a recently renovated room. The couches and seats were dirty, floors were a mess, the walls were not clean, toilet seat has pen scribbles on it. No microwave or fridge in the room. Worst part was there were FLEAS in the room. I saw two in the bathroom sink and found a few on me while in the room as I got ready ASAP to leave that filth. Had to take extra care to make sure I did not bring any home. I wish I noticed it sooner to just leave that hotel rather than be there overnight. Awful.

The venue is beautiful, but the staff is so unhelpful. Also, the event rooms are upstairs, hard to find, and far away from the elevator and bathrooms, making it not the most ADA friendly venue.
My main issue is that the manager and staff have the attitude of we provided the room, what more do you want. I appreciate that its not their job to run the event, but being rude to both the family running the event and their guest really dampened the experience. And the food was meh at best. Overall, would not recommend hosting an event here.

Friendly staff at the front desk. However the hotel is a bit outdated, dirty and needs a major overhaul. What worried me the most was the “clientele” hanging around. Lots of folks mingling - not sure they were actually guests of the hotel. Over abundance of abandoned cars in the parking lot including 6 cop cars filled with trash no longer in use. Not sure what was going on. Would not recommend this hotel. What could be a beautiful property seems to be turned into something different. Won’t be returning.

Avoid this hotel. They do not have good business practices. I used their phone system to book a room and at check in I was informed I got my first night comped. Not sure how or why, but it was great of them to offer that during my check in.
However when I checked my account 5 days after the stay (to confirm the $200 deposit charge had dropped off) , the hotel charged both nights. I called to ask if the room was damaged or why else would they would take back their offer. Their response " I don't know why you would get a free room, but you can ask your friends maybe they did something

Great value, clean, room was nicely decorated. The grounds were kept well. My reason for a 4 was because the bathroom tub looked bad like someone needs to put a work order in type of stuff and the water pressure needed a pressure boost. Also it's time to invest in some new towels.
Come to think of it they deserve 5 stars. They called me to tell me I left my a few of my credit cards on the night stand.

STOP!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. First thing that you should know about this hotel is that it was used to house homeless people during the height of the pandemic. I have empathy for the homeless, but this review is not about the homeless it's about how Vanllee Hotel should be upfront with its guest that are paying $160/night for a "clean" hotel room. I don't even know where I should start with describing the amount of filth that was in that room. My husband and I were traveling from Louisiana, with our 3 young children to visit my elderly mother-in-law and this hotel was right around

Room was very spacious and nice. We needed a room while our plumbing was being done so only stayed out of necessity.
We could hear everything outside occupants noisy and noticed several dogs barking in rooms. But the worst was the fire alarm that went off @3am but no fire and no answer from front desk thankfully no fire but couldn't go back to sleep.
