My son has been seeing Dr. Frogozo for specialty lenses since he was six months old. We traveled from Austin to San Antonio until she opened up an office in Austin a few days a week. She took what felt like an impossible task (putting a contact in my son's eye) and made it manageable for me. She has been incredibly communicative with my son's pediatric ophthalmologist, making sure he has the right prescription and fit. Dr. Frogozo is part of a team that took a child with a congenital cataract in one eye (which meant he couldn't see anything) to now having 20/30 vision. I am forever grateful to

I was revered to Dr. Frogozo by my primary optometrists and I was very happy to have been seen by her. She was caring and helpful with me during my full visit. I felt very comfortable sharing my questions and concerns with her, and I look forward to my next appointment. The staff was also very helpful and worked around my personal schedule.

Dr. Melanie and her staff are absolutely amazing!!!
After years of only being able to see out of one eye due to a failed cornea transplant, she has me seeing out of both eyes!!!
She didn’t give up on me after I was unable to wear the scleral contact lens. She kept trying.
Very knowledgeable, professional and always kind staff.

Today’s experience included the most comprehensive and thorough eye exam I have ever experienced. After undergoing so many tests, I feel very comfortable that everyone in this clinic knows what they are doing. Everyone was very pleasant, professional, and extremely friendly. I am a current patient at this practice and have alway been pleased with my care by Dr. Frogozo. She is highly knowledgeable and professional and rates 5 stars. On this visit I was examined by her resident. I was not informed in advance that I would be seen by the resident. I am a healthcare provider and understand educating new professionals. I also believe in professional courtesy of informing patients when my intern will be treating them. I’ll continue to use Alamo Eye Care because they are the best, even though this year’s visit did not compare to the past. Thank you for excellent care

This is a wonderful medical optometric outfit. One of the best I have ever visited. They are well equipped with the latest cutting edge Eyecare equipment and highly skilled health care workers.
They also specialize in management of keratoconus and all kind of corneal ecstasic issues. A very Friendly and receptive staff. They assisted me very well in my training. You guys are the best. I highly recommend this place for your eye care needs if you are in San Antonio and the environs.

Seriously overpriced! I went here for a few years when Dr. Aguilar was still working, because she was absolutely wonderful. I chose to stay there after she left and this week I called to schedule an exam as I need new contacts ordered. I'm currently a nursing student and don't have eye insurance and am prepared to pay out of pocket. After scheduling an appointment I asked if I could get a price on a regular exam and contact fitting. I don't have specialty lenses or have an astigmatism. The girl told me it ranged from $150-$200 for the exam and then another $150-$200+ for the contact

I don't even know where to begin. We drive from Austin to see Dr. Frogozo. My daughter has a contact prescrIption that can't be filled in Austin. Dr. Frogoza is hands down the best. She takes an extreme amount of time to insure my daughter has contacts that will work for her stigmatism. I have never seen a doctor or staff who spends the amount of time this staff does to insure the patient has the best contact for them. She is truly one of a kInd and i highly recommend her.

We love Dr. Frogozo and the entire staff at Alamo Eye Care. My daughter has a visual impairment and Dr. Frogozo was able to fit her into contacts when my daughter was only 4 months old. My daughter is now 22 months and enjoys wearing contacts over glasses. Dr. Frogozo was highly recommended by my daughters Ophthalmologist. We travel from North Austin to see Dr. Frogozo and staff because that is how special and awesome they are!

Disappointed... they spent so much time texting me and calling me to ensure I made the appointment... when I show up ... it's not busy and they have me wait 22 min past appointment time. Time is money and they have no problem wasting both. Not one apology was given when I said to cancel my appointment because they didn't respect time. They finally called my name as I was walking out

This year will be the last I’ll go there. I paid everything on the day of my visit and I still get a bill for my glasses.- mistake#1 I asked for a six month supply of contact lenses (dailies), which are pretty expensive (that’s why I used my insurance towards that) and they only got me a three month supply. The girl gave me the wrong prices.-mistake#2. I will find a better service somewhere else.

Fabulous service every second of the way. The staff behind the desk were all amazingly kind, personable and efficient. Melanie was outstanding! Frankie helped me find my perfect frames - she even hand-wrote a thank you card for choosing Alamo Eye Care and just made the whole experience so easy, relaxing and fun. My glasses are gorgeous, high-quality and super comfortable. I can't believe how nice they are. Five stars all the way! Highly recommend!

Dr. Aguilar and the office staff was very knowledgeable and professional! They accepted my insurance and was able to complete my new patient forms online. When I arrived, I checked in and was seen very quickly. The assistant who took me back was very nice and knowledgeable. Then Dr. Aguilar came in and completed my exam. What a rockstar office!

I purchased an exam+glasses from them for my daughter. Spent a few hundred bucks in all. The exam was fine, nothing great, but mostly competent all-around. It took a number of phone calls and conflicting phone messages before we finally figured out the glasses were in the shop and ready for pick-up. It always felt like the people that worked there weren't too sure where the glasses were (in the shop, in transit, still being made) and their customer service skills were horrible. Not friendly

I thoroughly researched eye doctors for a long time before I decided on Alamo Eye Care. I do live about fifty miles from there office but I wanted the best and a specialist on fitting contacts. I have experienced very good results. I have been using disposable for several years and wanted to go to GP. I was recommended to get hybrid contacts which have a 6 month lifespan and are comfortable. Couldn't be happier.
The care I get is top notch. Contacts came within the week of the visit.
I would drive 100 miles to see Alamo Eye Care. All of the staff work in a professional manner and helpful
