I help people recover faster from aches and pains, injuries and surgeries so they can get back to work and the things they love to do in life. I graduated with honors from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2006. Over the years, I've developed a fascination with the effects of scar tissue and its lingering traces on the whole body.

I'm a bodyworker with a strong intuitive sense, a "detective" style, guided by my desire to help people feel better. I've learned that the root of the problem is rarely the one spot where we feel pain. A scar is influenced by tension in the body. Where the pain is felt may be the consequences of a problem coming from a distant place in the body.

I graduated with honors from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2006. Over the years, I have learned that the root of the problem is rarely the one spot where we feel pain. It's never just one spot. In my experience, standard deep tissue massage is at times not enough to create sufficient relief.
Massage Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage and Myofascial Release focused on reduction of pain, stiffness and swelling from surgeries, injuries and chronic day-to-day pain. Low back, hip, shoulder, neck, headaches, TMJ, and other pain issues are common reasons people seek medical massage. Sessions are individualized to meet the client's specific needs.
The term "medical massage" refers to an outcome-based technique used to target specific health problems typically related to pain relief, reduction of stiffness and swelling from surgeries, injuries and other medical conditions. You should be aware that this type of massage is not similar to the traditional types provided at spas.
Swelling is normal after surgery or injury but persistent swelling is not. When tissues are damaged from tissue trauma, the lymphatic system works overtime to clear the area of cellular waste and defend the body from infection. This inflammation is a normal part of healing. It's the body's natural response to an injury.
Breast Cancer Mastectomy Massage Therapy is aimed at helping women make significant gains in recovery after breast cancer treatment. Cancer treatment can be overwhelming, invasive, and brutal. It may leave you uneasy about your body image and whether you'll ever return to the life and activities you love.

Michelle was wonderful! I was in extreme pain. Even though I was from out of town... bless her heart, she worked me in as soon as possible.
It was an incredible experience. She knew exactly what needed to be done, and talked me through the session for my feedback on right pressure, area of most pain, etc.
I thank her so much! I left there feeling much much better. I wish I could have gone back for more treatment, but we had to leave to head back to Texas. I encourage anybody who needs help to call her. She listens, she cares, she is a first-class massage therapist.
I never write reviews, but

I have been seeing Michelle for massage/bodywork off and on for about two years. Michelle has helped me to successfully work through injuries and greatly reduce chronic pain. In my more recent session, Michelle worked with me to help relieve pain resulting from past breast surgeries - lumpectomies and a reduction all done years ago. In every session, Michelle has not only shown great ability and care but she has been vested in teaching me to greater understand my own healing. She has shown me many techniques that allow me to relieve my own pain between sessions. In working with the scars related

Michelle is THE most incredible massage therapist. She honored her calling and gifting and can change your life through her touch. I saw Michelle soon after my breast explant surgery. After 33 years of having silicone in my body, I had them removed. Michelle specializes in scar tissue work and lymph drainage, and I can't begin to champion her skills. She deserves a 10 star review!

For years I have had shoulder mobility and pain problems after a mastectomy and a number of related surgeries. Michelle's research tenacity and sincere interest in helping her clients isolated my shoulder problems to a likely cause of a palsy of the long thoracic nerve. (My mastectomy was 11 years ago and I have seen many therapists since but never before has anyone made this discovery.) Now, with Michelle's help along with my PT, I believe progress is possible in addressing my scapular winging and shoulder pain. Many, many thanks to Michelle!

My wife had a massage by Michelle. My wife's quote 24 hours later: "I feel amazing. I feel like a new person."
