Services
Hugs Plus is a privately owned early education center founded in 1984, with two locations. At Hugs Plus a strong emphasis is placed on each child's abilities in questioning, experimenting, thinking and reasoning. The teachers role is to facilitate, observe, guide, support, and inspire children. Our Directors and teachers work closely with families to nurture and stimulate young children.
The Hugs Plus team of directors are professionally qualified classroom teachers and are trained in the Hugs Plus philosophy of early childhood education. Our directors develop, create, implement and make all administrative decisions as a team. Sheila Fisher founded Hugs Plus Learning Centers in 1984 as President, director and classroom teacher.
Hugs Plus does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, marital status, sexual orientation or disabilities in providing services to children and their families. Enrollment is based on classroom availability. When a program is filled families may request to be placed on a waiting list in the event an opening arises.
Our programs support our belief that children are inherently curious and construct their knowledge and understanding of the world through their involvement and experiences with their environment and the people, materials and experiences within it. Hugs Plus offers a variety of early education programs, all designed to promote self-esteem and foster a genuine love for learning.
Toddlers learn by experiencing activities that encourage language development and self-help skills while building their self esteem. Our warm and caring environment - fostered by our teachers - encourages toddlers to feel secure in expressing independent thought and making their own choices. Don't bring your children to this daycare they really don't care about the kids there and they only care about the money to the point where they let sick kids in the school. There is this one teacher who verbally abuses the kids and the directors do nothing about it they are only keeping her here because they are Losing staff. The Floors are awful and they use dirty mops to clean the floors ! There's only a few teachers who really care for the kids and actually try to help them ! Don't bring your kids to this daycare it's not worth the money everything is outdated and old . The director and owner
