Services
In 1984, Howard Johnson's opened a daycare center to service the daycare needs of their employees and families in the community. In 1986, when Howard Johnson's moved out of Quincy, a group of parent volunteers took over the operation and management of the center and the Center was re-named Greater Quincy Child Care Center.
Welcome to the Infant/Toddler Little Ducklings classroom at the Greater Quincy Child Care Center. Throughout the day, the children in these classrooms are becoming increasingly independent and aware of themselves as individuals.

The teachers work to help your child develop independence in areas such as self-help skills, language skills to communicate their needs, thoughts and ideas to others and social skills as they learn how to play and cooperate with peers. The teachers will work to ensure each parent knows how their child's day was and what types of activities he or she participated in while at school.
Written Developmental Assessments are completed every six months, and parent-teacher conferences are encouraged at least once a year. Hands on activities are critical to a child's development at this age. They provide a lot of visual, auditory and tactile stimulation which is important in a child's world of discovery.
Welcome to the preschool classroom at Greater Quincy Child Care Center. Our children range in age from 2.9 - 4+. We believe that children learn best through interacting with their environment. We provide a balance of child initiated activities and teacher selected curriculum to maximize the children's learning.
Welcome to the Preschool/PreK Sunflowers Classroom at the Greater Quincy Child Care Center! The children thrive throughout the day with our "learn through play" philosophy. This hands-on type of experience allows the children to develop skills such as problem solving, self-awareness, independence, and so many more!

Great school. My oldest daughter went there from 2 years old up to kindergarten (long time ago). For my two youngest, each of them was put on the waitlist the moment they were born. I wouldn't even entertain the idea of looking for a different school. Even when we couldn't get the spot we simply just waited. I can't imagine a better environment for my children. Great teachers! It is always only about well-being of children. (and sanity of parents, i get pictures of my kids every day and messages from the staff on how they doing) They learn a lot, they play. Classrooms are spacious. Their own playground

My daughters Eila and Maebh, ages nearly 4 years and 19 months, go to Greater Quincy Child Care Center. They have a great time every day, learn and a lot and have made many friends. Their teachers and staff are amazing. The environment is high quality and very safe. Eila has been at the center since she was a few months old, and the same for Maebh. I would encourage any families or teachers looking for positions to give GQCCC a try!

Very disappointed ! We got on a wait list a year ago and were told that we would definitely get in the following year ! Then of course you have to put your deposit of $300 down ( non-refundable!) and still no spot available ! Such a rip off . Everyone is just super nice and want your money at first but after not even a response to an email requesting where we are on that “wait list”! Watch out everyone! Highly NOT RECOMMENDED !

Both of my children attended greater Quincy from infancy through kindergarten. It’s the best run daycare facility on the south shore. It is also a non-profit facility and not driven by the corporate greed that many child care facilities must endure. Send your children here without any hesitation. I recommend Greater Quincy to everyone I know seeking child care.

This is a wonderful day care and preschool. There's really nothing else we could ask for. The teachers are great the curriculum is great and she's allowed to progress at her own pace. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

The Best Day care I know! I did thorough research and visited various day cares before deciding on this one. The day I took tour here I knew this is where I will feel at peace while leaving my baby in their care. My baby started here when she was 4 months. She has learned so many things over a period of two years. This day care provides a very nice learning environment for young impressionable minds of kids. Teachers are well trained, experienced and have been working here for many years. The facility is clean, well maintained and and the management does superb work. The best decision I took to
