Services
In 1959, after finishing the orthodontic residency program at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, Dr. Charles L. Chambliss came to Mobile to establish a practice. His first office was on Monterey Street just off of Government Street. He stayed there until about 1965 when he built an office on Beltline Highway.
The staff of Hillcrest Orthodontics, PC has been serving the residents of Mobile and Brewton since 1959. She is an Appointment Coordinator and Treatment Coordinator. She has completed Charlene White's New Patient Coordinator Certification Course, Dale Carnegie training, and several Excel courses. Suzanne is fluent in American Sign Language and assists our patients from the deaf community.
Dr. Rosalyn Salter strives to provide high quality orthodontic treatment in a supportive, caring atmosphere, at an affordable fee. A down payment is required when services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards. We offer in house financing with zero interest and no credit checks, everyone is approved.
Your first visit to our orthodontic office is an exciting time! It's a chance for us to get acquainted, and for you to learn about the treatments and services we offer. When you walk in the door, you may notice that our office looks similar to your regular dentist's office; what we do here, however, is a little different.
No, it is not. Many of our patients are referred by their family dentist, yet many other patients take the initiative to schedule an examination themselves. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening at age 7. By this age, several permanent teeth in most children have erupted, allowing us to effectively evaluate your orthodontic condition.

A peaceful oasis of professionalism and friendliness. Dr. Roz and her entire staff are top-notch from the great welcome at the front desk, to the last mouthwash "spit" into the well-appointed sinks and brushing station, to the courteous reminders by text of the appointments you won't want to be late for. Everyone is wonderful. Pro-tip: come here if you think you may have gotten some bad advice from another orthodontist. She will tell it to you straight, and work very hard to make things right for you. Thank you everyone!
