I travel a lot for work. I have relocated 7 times over the last 20 years for my employer and rented at least the first year of all of them. I have dealt with literally dozens of management companies for both myself and team members. Never have I dealt with a less responsive company.
I recently relocated to Flagstaff. Was looking for a house to rent when I found one of theIr listings. When you finally navigate their silly automated system good luck ever getting a human being. Better luck if they decide not to even bother telling you that the residence you are applying for is no longer available

I had a really unpleasant experience this evening during a phone conversation with a woman named Kristin. I explained I'd like to apply to a specific listing but I have a cat and the ad is confusing: one part says some pets are okay, but another says dogs and cats are not. So...which applies? And which pets are okay? I was simply seeking clarification.
She snapped, "NONE of the properties with 928 allow cats. There's a REASON we put that in our listings."
Her response was unprofessional, disgusting and totally unnecessary.

We made an appointment to look at a house for rent with 928 today. I was assured that they wore masks and only let 2 people in at a time. Two girls were there from the realty company. We had to speak first and they barely spoke to us, never introducing themselves. Upon entering there were 3 current tenants there with no masks. The first informed us she would be in a meeting and had her door shut to her bedroom and seemed unhappy when we knocked to see it. Arrogant, unreliable and obnoxious. The owners and employees at 928 seriously need training on how to be on time and go above and beyond. I was searching for a rental in FLG last summer. Found a place through 928, however, salesperson was beyond late then couldn't lock it down due to the staff not returning phone calls past 5pm. Had to catch a flight the next day and still no response. Found another home to rent on my next trip out to FLG using a dedicated and hardworking RE company. Just read their responses to negative reviews and that will paint a picture of the type of people that own

My wife and I are professors at NAU and I called Matt to try and rent one of the properties listed on his website. He asked me two questions, and without allowing me to even explain our situation he literally hung up on me in mid-sentence. One of the rudest most unprofessional people I've have ever dealt with. I guess the cut throat rental market in Flagstaff allows him to be a terrible human, but if you want to work with a nice person who will listen to your needs, either as someone trying to rent their property or trying to find one yourself, look elsewhere. My husband and I are moving to Flagstaff this summer from across the country and found 928Rentals online. Although it's been difficult to search for rental housing from 2000 miles away, the listings and information on 928Rentals.com have been very helpful, and I've always received prompt responses from the 928Rentals staff. Not returning calls and emails seems to be a theme, on here as well as Facebook reviews. The 1 star posts are identical to my experience. I, however, do have emails saved (even though, unlike more professional sites where a "thank you for contacting us, someone will be replying" message is sent in response to the "contact us" message sent from the website, there is no response to your initial contact so Matt asking for this proof is obsurd) and screenshots of Facebook posts and messages to prove my experience. Matt, thank you for contacting me with your number. I'm bummed that it had come to this to get a response. I feel it's a little off-putting that you offer a reward to people having to prove to you that they've contacted you. Why on earth would someone make that up?! I don't need your money and it's actually insulting. Having to message you though a link on your listings offers no possible way to supply you with the proof you seem to need. 928 Rentals has managed my property in Flagstaff since 2010. I have been very impressed with their professionalism and practical skills. I like the integrity of the company, because they discuss the area's rental values with me, and told me that they think the area's values are too inflated and they like to keep their rents more reasonable so everyday people can afford them. I worked with Matt from 928 Rentals over the phone, text, and email. Something quite surprising to me is that he was happy to tell me about neighborhoods of other homes not listed with him, and even recommended a home that he was not listing based on our needs. That shows real character. I hoped to wait it out and sign on something that he had listed, but at this time I did not have the time to wait it out so I had to go with another real estate management company. I would not hesitate to recommend Matt and 928 Rentals to anyone.
