This was my first time visiting Alexandria this weekend and I will always think fondly of Kevin's little shop on the corner. He was extremely helpful and made my birthday/trip so special. When we went back to the hotel and the vase we purchased accidentally tipped over in it's bag and shattered, Kevin was kind enough to replace the vase. Not many people would do such a thing and for him to be so understanding really says a lot about himself, the pride he has for his shop and how he cares for his customers. I wanted to pop in and give him a thank you note but the store was closed-- so Kevin, thank

I called this store and told them what flowers I wanted. I was told that I could come in and buy them. I arrived 40 minutes later (a full TWO HOURS before the store was supposed to close) only to find that the store had closed for the day. The manager didn't mention anything over the phone and there wasn't a sign indicating that there was any kind of emergency.
Based on other reviews, it seems like this is a pretty common practice with this business.

If I could give a negative star I would. I arrived shortly after 4pm on a Wednesday when the store SHOULD be open. I paid for parking and walked up to the door. What do I find as I stand here now....CLOSED. I am not from this area, I needed to purchase a beautiful set of flowers for a dear friend who just lost her mom. Never again. The hours are even clearly indicated on a sign currently hanging on the door.

Where do I begin? I met with Kevin in his gorgeous little florist shop in Old Town Alexandria and it was just a great feeling from the start. He is by far the most passionate and dedicated person when it comes to his work! He was incredibly down to earth, easy to talk to, and open minded. Turns out he was getting married the very same day as we were. He was in full wedding planning mode himself and was able to share ideas and help me formulate a vision/theme for my event. He was able to see exactly what I described and create the arrangements I was dreaming of. They were absolutely perfect and

I am highly suspect of this site since there are several reviews that are not taken into consideration by the site that rate this florist poorly.
My experience mirrors that of Paula B., Jim W., and Jean W., who all wrote one star reviews.
I stopped in over this past Christmas season, and found the man working there to be rude and impatient; he was on his mobile so perhaps I was disturbing whatever he was doing.
After asking several questions about various flowers and arrangements, which got curt responses, and checking several types of flowers in the case, I decided on a small arrangement for

Horribly overpriced, don't waste your time here. in town visiting friends and wanted to stop and pick up some flowers, and this place was on the way. while the flowers are nice, i went in for a $20-30 small arrangement, which was clearly communicated, and came out with an $50 small bouquet of 3 lilies, 1 hydrangea, and some filler when 'the manager' rang it up. unreal.

Some nice blog reader (forallofmydesign-obsessedpeeps.blogspot) sent me a lovely spring bouquet of flowers with a card from Aubrey 's flower-shop. Great selection of fresh flowers and beautifully arranged in container. I had heard of the shop many times before, but since I rarely purchase fresh flowers as gifts, I've never gone in, but for years have checked out his windows, with displays that are whimsical, lush and some of the best on King Street. I found Kevin (the owner) to be great (and funny) and ended up buying some rosemary toparies with the intent to return for other things

My husband has bought me bouquets from here on two different occasions and both have been absolute standouts. He goes in, tells them his budget and gives them free rein to do whatever as long as fits the price point, and the arrangements have been very unique and beautiful. This is now our go-to florist - the wow factor for the price is very impressive.
Also, husband does look like a grad student (which he is) and kind of a bum (which he isn't), and he gets GREAT service from this guy. I always find it nice when staff don't pre-judge you based on your appearance, so thumbs up for that

I went in there once. The first impression of the gentleman behind the desk was that he was way too busy to even look up at me when I spoke to him. I guess he had more important things to read on that electronic device his eyes were glued to. I talked to him, and he was almost strained to respond. Won't go there for anything. Too many other choices. These people and these electronic devices irritate me.

I ordered flowers for my wife the first week in September. No particular reason, just wanted to say "I love you" with something other than words.
I picked out an arrangement online and ordered it online.
My wife works within walking distance of the shop. Imagine my surprise when I was charged a $10 delivery fee!
I called to debate this with the shop but they wouldn't budge so I let it go.
Later in the day, my wife sent me a picture of the arrangement that was delivered. Sure, it was beautiful, but it was not even in the same galaxy proximity-wise to what I ordered.
