BlackAcre understands real estate investors desire a reasonable return from their properties without having to deal with day to day management issues. We understand owners must balance decisions between cash flow, return on investment, long term property value, and creating meaningful tenant relationships.

Founded in 2015, by Matt Freedman, after hearing for years of the need for a reputable, responsive, and honest property management firm, BlackAcre is proud to offer exactly that. Backed by an owner with a law degree, BlackAcre is able to offer its clients the confidence of knowing their investments will be protected.
Services
Different buildings have different security measures. We recommend tenants make use of all locks on exterior doors. We also recommend tenants make use of a bar at the base of any sliding exterior door. We also recommend - and in some case will require - tenants to provide proof of renters insurance.
If you haven't yet had the opportunity to visit an apartment that you are interested in renting, please call us at (207) 370.8841 before submitting your application. In some instances we may not process applications without a holding deposit (some exceptions apply, please call with questions.)

We evaluate every rental application in the following manner: You must complete and submit a rental application along with a non-refundable $20 application fee.We will then run your application through our screening company, which will check your credit report, background, and rental references to confirm that you fully meet our criteria.

Matt with BlackAcre Property Management showcases what a true "customer first" approach should look like in action. Whether dealing with property owners or tenants, he is respectful, fair, and exceptionally accommodating. Partnering with him was one of the best decisions I've made.

After their client purchased a building we were renting an apartment in, they proceeded to increase our rent by nearly 50%. The original lease we had stated the carpets were in bad condition when we moved in, yet this new manager refused to return our security deposit. I purposely withheld last month's rent as I suspected this would be an issue, despite the property management company's owner Matt Freedman insisting they were a professional company and would not hold our deposit for things already listed as bad when when moved in. This left a balance due to us of $250.
