This is my second time staying in this hotel. The first time I had a more pleasant experience, but this time I had a few concerns. The staff was welcoming as usual, but I noticed some had masks on, some didn't. I understand that this is a rule that only New York City enforces, so it's something I have to get used to. When I walked in my room, pets of it didn't seem clean. The coffee machine still had a Keurig pod with a hole in it... The shower doors also didn't seem to have been cleaned properly. Some of the pillows even smelled weird. I just hope this room has been properly

Hotel was clean & modern, lots of nice amenities & good location. Only major issue was that the pool was closed. We were traveling with a couple other families with kids and one of our top criteria in choosing a hotel was access to a pool. We were there a few days and it never opened; we found out that it had been closed for several weeks prior to our arrival. They should've made us aware of this on-going issue prior to our arrival. When we complained, they told us there were several swimming holes we could use instead (This is not quite the same, and also, this was not the case as heavy rain lead

Found this hotel and a web search. We arrived and were able to check into our room early. The front staff was very helpful. Told us a few local places to go and advise us what goes on and how busy the hotel may be. With some of the sports teams coming in. We had a great stay. We got to meet the general manager. Greg who is great conversationist and definitely told us more about the area and some things to check out. Breakfast was good and a fair price. Just like many places they are under staffed because of the outcome of the pandemic but they did their best to make us feel at home. We did request

Was our first time visiting family out in Ithaca, NY, and in this hotel for one night. We liked the hotel. Very clean, quiet. Loved the lobby furnishings and the Titanic style spiral stairs. The rooms were very nice. One of the rooms thermostat was not operational so the desk had a friendly technician come check it, however, in interest of goodness, my daughter was moved to another room on 2nd flr near us, not a problem. Desk staff was satisfactory. I'd recommend it.

The hotel was very comfortable and cozy. I had a few special requests and the staff was generally able to fulfill them.
The breakfasts I had there were some of the best ever. However, the restaurant wasn't open for any other meal of the day.
What keeps this place from getting a 5 revolves around the room service policy. They won't service your room unless you make a specific request for them to. I requested my room to be serviced and they said the maid would arrive between 11 AM and 2 PM. But when I came back at 1:45, no maid had been there. I had to call the front desk to ask them again about

The location of the local was wonderful. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beautiful waterfalls. On the negative side, the bathroom was not clean. The shower had mold in it and had obviously not been thoroughly cleaned in a while. I told the front desk about it and they said they sent housekeeping to check it out. Housekeeping told the front desk that it was a maintenance problem. The next day I went back again because it was still dirty. Maintenance never came. The hotel is reasonably priced, but you still want a clean shower. I will return to Ithaca, but never to this hotel again

I came here for my brothers graduation and had a great stay. In fact, at the end of my stay I received some unpleasant news from my airline that they had canceled my flight out of Ithaca and the next available flight was not for two additional days. As I was venting to my mom about this, one of the managers, Greg, approached us and told us that he had overheard our dilemma and would like to offer us to stay as long as we needed. All of the staff was so incredible helpful and welcoming! On top of that, we also received complimentary bottles of champagne, root beer, and snacks. They also had a great

I should have read reviews before I booked our hotel here. It's college move in week and the Marriott was already booked to be honest. I have stayed at the marriot on the commons before and I will do that again next time. To begin, we had to move rooms because our room was dirty. Cleaned but dirty. Front desk was nice about it and got us out quickly. In general, this hotel is not worth the money. There is no ambiance, rooms are fine and it just doesn't have the charm you would hope in Ithaca. There was also a big dance competition which raised a lot of complaints. Blasting loud music

Our large family was treated to a delightful Father’s Day celebration for our 95 year young Dad , John. We had a private room for breakfast and it was so beautifully decorated with lovely table settings, flowers, and coffee and tea ready and waiting. After we had all gathered we helped ourselves to a delicious breakfast buffet which included everything from bacon and eggs to French toast to pastries. Yum Yum, Good!!!!! The staff was very welcoming, kind, and just full of smiles and good cheer. Every moment was a delight. This is the place to go for breakfast if you want to be treated to a warm

We came from out of town to see the falls. We originally had a reservation elsewhere and the woman ended up being a nut job so we had to find somewhere to stay one day before we arrived. They gladly got us a room with a balcony and when we got there super early they accommodated us for early check in. The room was nice and clean. Only thing I didn't like was the showerhead was in the middle of the shower so water got all over the floor but it wasn't a big deal since it was all tile. The central location of this hotel was awesome. We walked to the commons in two minutes and we drove to

BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! They do not care at all about the health and safety of their guests!!!!!
My friend and I made a reservation at Hotel Ithaca for April 2020. We booked the reservation in Feb 2020, well before the pandemic began and the stay at home orders went into place around the country. Once we learned travel would be illegal during the dates of our reservation, we of course were forced to cancel our trip. Hotel Ithaca informed us they were refusing to refund the cost of the room. They told us we instead would receive a credit on our account that we had to use within 6 months

The hotel is convenient to all local attractions. The reception area, pool, exercise facility are nice (could not use due to Cuomo - but bars, buses and wal Mart/wegmans all open). The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. A little short on the pillows. Down sides - noise from the adjacent gas station, if you stay in the first floor to avoid the elevators... noise from above (I am sure it was a few boisterous kids but sounded like a herd of wildebeests), parking is limited so get back early or just walk... and the last and worst is the woefully pathetic free WiFi. This post was vis a vie

I stayed here after a long night of work from out of town. There wasn't much parking available for the hotel- so I parked in the lot across the street which was actually quite convenient- just had to take the elevator down and cross the street. Check-in was smooth except I accidentally placed my room cards next to my phone which demagnetized them as I was bringing my bags up to my room. (I'm not a frequent hotel go-er so I totally understand this is a mess up of mine!)
The room was lovely and well airconditioned on a hot summer evening, the bed was comfy as well. The only drawback was

The Hotel Ithaca is in a great location, and the rooms are nice-- clearly recently renovated. The beds are comfortable, the toiletries smell great, and there's a fitness center and indoor pool which are nice and unusual amenities in a hotel like this one. One drawback is the soundproofing; I could hear conversations in the next-door rooms quite clearly, as well as footsteps down the halls.
The reason why I can only give it three stars is because nearly every interaction I had with the front desk staff was dissatisfying. The worst was when I came back to my room at midnight one night and my

The Hotel Ithaca was basically what I expected and paid for. I showed up very early and the receptionist was very accommodating, allowing me to check-in around 12:30 pm even though technically check-in time is 4. That was a gracious move on their part and actually made my whole trip much easier.
The room was clean and comfortable. The view was nothing special--basically of the roof and a parking garage, but whatever. The shower was very good, and the soaps and other toiletries were fine. Plenty of towels. The walls were a little thin and I could hear the neighbors talking, but since they weren

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. When I rebooked the hotel Priceline gave me a big discount and it was worth it. The rooms are clean and recently upgraded. There was construction on the south end but it did not bother me. The windows are a bit drafty. The HVAC unit mad a loud clicking sound when it came on. I am a light sleeper and any noises will disturb my sleep. Most hotels now days have an excellent breakfast that is included with the stay. This one does not but there is a restaurant on the first floor. The hotel was quiet during my stay but will say few guest stay over on Christmas

I loved this place from the very first minute I pulled up!
I checked in around 9pm and the front desk staff member was fantastic, we joked a bunch, he was informative and gave us locations of where we should go eat. Every employee I interacted with were so nice and helpful.
I stayed in the smaller of the two towers and the whole design of the lobby and hallways were beautifully done. Loved the decor.
The room was great. It had a fridge and microwave, the room was very nicely set up. The bathroom was fantastic, more specifically, the shower was amazing. Great water pressure and heated up very

This is your average joe hotel located in the heart of downtown Ithaca.
Pros
- Commendable service
- Rooms are fairly clean
- Hotel is located in the heart of downtown and has pretty good restaurants at walking distance
Cons
- Parking space is fairly limited so be prepared to park your car in the free parking space available in front of the hotel
- Restaurant located within the hotel has really few options and is actually pretty expensive

I actually liked this hotel quite a bit for the new tower. Seems like there were some concerns with the low-rise section and first tower (older rooms).
Abby was a great hostess, checking me in with a minimum of fuss. Placed in the second (newer) tower, we had access to ice, microwave, hair dryer, two big queen beds, a shuttle, the pool, business center, gym, and a restaurant. Parking behind the hotel available for some guests, and other parking across the street in the lot (free after 8p or all weekend). Also a shuttle available for guests to the Cornell Campus. Close to a big area for bars, restaurants

BEDBUGS!! BEWARE! the WORST stay in hotel I ever had in my entire life.
I arrived at the hotel around 11 pm, checked in, went to sleep and I was super tired. I kept waking up and when I check my phone it has been only 15 minutes. I was too tired so I went back to sleep again only to wake up again. Then I realized I was waking up because I was being uncomfortable and being bit. I looked at myself and screamed! My poor stomach! and Eww! I was bit by a bedbug.
I was able to pull myself together, looked for the sucker! And guess what? I caught that damn thing! Grabbed the bed bug, was easy to spot
