CollegeCare Pharmacy & Medical Supply
College Care RX Pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy that can help you get the medicine you need, when you need it. At CollegeCare Pharmacy, we are wholly dedicated towards providing our customers within the Ventura community with the best care available. Our staff is professional and has many years of experience within the healthcare industry.

To ensure that our customers are satisfied, we aim to not only improve the services we already offer, but to continue to expand our offerings to include a wide range of additional services, such as patient care. To best meet your needs, we have adapted our pharmacy to have a completely modernized feel.
Services
CollegeCare Pharmacy strives to be the leader in community based pharmacy and diabetes care. We will set the standard of excellence through customer service, patient care, and employee satisfaction. We strive to be the single resource for the complex needs of our diabetic patients and the community.
College Care RX provides our customers with a myriad of different healthcare services. Not only does our pharmacy assist those that are trying to fill their prescriptions, it also aids individuals that have medical needs that require a safer home environment, as well as providing support to facilities that offer long-term care.
We have been licensed as a compounding pharmacy. If you're unsure of what compounding is, it basically involves the creation of certain medications to fit specifically to the needs of an individual patient. This helps to aid in targeting the exact condition or illness that a patient is suffering from and can be very helpful when traditional medications just aren't working.
Because of how long we have been in business, we've picked up on additional services that customers may not think they need, but can prove to be useful. One of these is the Drug Take Back service. If you've had multiple prescriptions over the years that have expired and find that these leftover prescriptions and supplements have built up to the point that you now have an excess amount in storage, we provide the means of disposing of them safely.
One of the primary services we offer at College Care is that of Diabetes Care. Diabetes is one of the more common diseases within the United States, the treatment of which is important in order to maintain your health. Anyone that has Diabetes understands that keeping complete track of your blood glucose levels is absolutely essential.

I gave them three strikes, and I should have just quit after the first one. First, I called ahead to see if the pharmacy part of the store carried a certain item. I was told they did. I drove across town only to find out they did not. Second, I went in to purchase saline solution. I was told it required a prescription. This is absurd. I can purchase anywhere online. Today was the final strike. I went in and asked if they had any hot water bottles not made in China (I try to avoid toxic products and the last one I got reeked.) His response? "Everything's made in china." No, sir, everything

We have been coming to College Care Pharmacy for years. We have been through many employee changes. We have always been treated respectfully and expeditiously. Today, however, I did not recognize anyone. I was not greeted. I waited behind the "Please Wait Here" sign until acknowledged. When I was acknowledged, it was more of like, "What do you want?" I totally understand that they work diligently to fulfill their prescriptions. But, it is too much to ask for a cheerful, "Hi! We will be right with you!" ??? Customer service is dying. We will continue to patronize CCP

They deliver and get the job done. Getting phone help isn’t always easy, but it’s not terrible if you’re patient. The accounts payable person is really fantastic.

Friendly staff that always answers the phone quickly. They always seem to have everything we need in stock. Fair prices with quite a bit of variety. Excellent sanitation standards. They have a little station at the front for you to sanitize your hands before you browse. Would definitely recommend.

I called to transfer one prescription. They said they'd get it done, but I didn't get a call back.

I called a week later to check in the status, but they had no record of my previous call nor the personal info I'd given them. I gave them another chance.

Again, a week later when I called, they again had no record of my info in their system. I was transferred to the pharmacist who somehow knew about me. Mysteries of life.

He asked if I'd called the doctor to get a script from him. Um, no. That's your job, sir, and no one tasked me with that.

On to the next pharmacy

My wife had a prescription for a compounded mouthwash. CVS said they did not compound, take it to College Pharmacy who did compound. Wednesday afternoon College Pharmacy said they would call us back in 24 to 48 hours to let us know if it was ready. After 48 hour with no call back we went to inquire and were told to wait for a call back. We waited from Wednesday to the following Monday with no call back.
Today I called them and Jacob checked on the prescription and said that it was a simple prescription and should have been compounded on the spot. Not sure what went wrong but they sure seemed not

I read the positive reviews of this business and the negative ones. I'm somewhere in between. They don't really listen to you and they seem to take forever in filling the compounded prescription. I can hardly ever get them on the phone as it's always busy. (Maybe they need a second line.) I have filled two presentations there and have not gotten an "it's ready" phone call. I've had to hound them both times. I pre-approved a charge up to $50 but they still felt they had to call me and ask a 2nd time. So I don't know. I need their services from time to time

College Pharmacy Ventura is not very helpful to me from my own experience. Every time I called for refill, employees barely answered the phone calls and took them forever to answered plus once they picked up the phone they hang up right away. When Stores closed, i wanted to make refill thru automated system but is not set up. How you gonna order your refill when they closed? and phone just ringing and ringing, ringing... I’m not satisfied with their assistance when I spoke with the employees and they hang up the phone right away not even done talking or at least saying goodbye or have a nice

Are you kidding me... This is not a big operation like CVS or Walmart. This is a pharmacy with heart and compassion. You may have to wait sometimes for service, but that is the case at all pharmacies unless you timed it right. They know you by name and even in a difficult time they are supportive. They always, and I mean always are helpful. Since my husbands was diagnosed with cancer College Pharmacy has been helpful with home health items, homeopathic remedies and home delivery FOR FREE!!! The negative reviews are from people who either never had to make a profit or have a sense or royalty

Use Amazon for DME. College Pharmacy is TWICE as much.
Delivery driver was late. She called me at 530pm on a Friday to get the correct address then she didn't deliver my order. I called her at 915pm and she said that she had the wrong address even though we already spoke with each other. She went back to the store, which she said was already closed to pick up the DME.

I was looking all over for some replacement Tens Unit pads and none of the big chain stores had what I was looking for.

I didn't even know this place existed and I've lived here for 14 years now. I will be back again since I prefer to support local.

I've often purchased home medical products from this store. I was there today and was so disappointed to see that they were actually selling N95 masks for $4.00 apiece... with all of the stress and heartache and loss experienced by our fellow Venturans this past week in the wake of The Thomas fire, one would've thought the masks might have been offered at a greatly reduced price if not for free. Many communities like carpenteria and Santa Barbara have offered them for free. By the way, I was able to purchase two-packs of the same exact masks at Lowes for $6,00 today.
Shame on you

A pretty cute place. I went and the power just went out in the area and they explained to me thier difficulty. The guy there was really sweet and well-mannerd. A little pricey but thats because I had a medication that had to be compunded to a tiny amount.

So disappointed in this place. My kitty has kidney issues and we give him an IV every night. We realized we were running low on needles for his lines and went in to this pharmacy to stock up. They wanted to charge us $1 a needle, which is ridiculous. (A box of 100 is less than $14 anywhere we have ever gone.) It was a waste of of our time going there. When the owner quoted the price, the guy at the register looked confused and even asked the owner to repeat the cost. I guess they just really didn't want our business!

The pharmacist is very best and knows a lot. I had a problem with one of his employees by the name of Anna I think she has a British accent. The pharmacist went above and beyond to make sure things got fixed. He cares about his clients immensely. I had given the pharmacy 1 stars but when the pharmacist went out of his way to make things right had to change it to 5. He is very smart and caring. I read all the reviews and I'm pretty sure all the bad experiences come from her. Mine did. The service that everyone but Anna deliver is top notch. Because of her, I was going to never go back but the

This place sucks. Purchased a $48 wedge pillow for back support. It was wrapped in cheap, saran-like plastic. Got it home, removed the plastic, and tried it out. It was uncomfortable and wasn't going to work for me. Tried to return it, and was told I couldn't because I'd "taken the plastic wrap off. Are you kidding me?! They were so rude and dismissive - for a funky pharmacy with a lot of weird crap for sale, I'm wondering how they stay in business. I'm downright suspicious how they make any money

I was recommended by CVS Pharmacy because the prescription I needed was a compound medication and needed to be mixed in a lab. It is a Saturday so there hours are 10-1:30. I called them at 10:30 to make sure it was some thing they could do. After several minutes of explaining that it needed to be mixed, that I have insurance, and will pay what I need to, the lady agreed to fill the prescription. She asked if I could be there in 30 minutes and I told her I couldn't get thete until 1215. Then said she needed my insurance information but would have to call me back and said "have your phone by you
