Services
Planning a funeral service can be a very difficult process for families who have just lost a loved one. But it's important to provide those who are grieving with a supportive environment in which they can begin to find closure, say goodbye, and come to terms with the loss.

Gathering with friends and family gives everyone the opportunity to connect, share memories, offer words of sympathy, and create a lasting network of comfort and support as they start the journey toward healing.Immediate burial means that your loved one will be buried or entombed without a public service or gathering.
Verdun Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services has been serving Belding area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come. The existing funeral home, located at 303 S. Bridge Street dates back to 1940's, and has been owned and operated by several families over the years including the Fales, Huffman, Brigham and Verdun families.
Planning a funeral can be overwhelming, but you are not alone in this. We're here to support you throughout this journey and make this process one of love, healing, and life celebration. Below is some information to help you get started, but you can contact us at any time if you need help.

When a loved one dies at home or in a place that isn't a healthcare facility, you'll need to contact emergency personnel before they can be taken into our care.If your loved one was under medical care, it's a good idea to call their physician as well. If your loved one dies in a healthcare facility, they will notify the proper authorities, including the funeral home you have chosen to care for your loved one if they know that information.
The following service options are intended to give you a general idea of the most common packages selected by families. This list is not exhaustive and intended to be a starting point for the wide variety of services available. It is becoming more often that families endeavor to find new and innovative ways to lay loved ones to rest.
We accept cash, check, debit, credit card payments and insurance assignments. When circumstances arise in which a family does not have the financial resources readily available, there are options available to financing. Many families contact a bank or credit union they already know and trust, but there are funeral-specific lending organizations that we are happy to connect you with.

There are not enough words to express my gratitude. It’s not easy planning and paying for a funeral. Mike went above and beyond to take me step by step and help me through it all. Some people have special gifts in what they do for a living, while I’m sure it is not easy, Mike seems to have the compassion, attention to detail, and joy in life that it must take to work with grieving families on a daily basis. I am so grateful for the assistance in planning the service. I would recommend working with this funeral home for anyone in need. While it’s never easy to think of loss of loved ones,
