I called to get a price on what it would charge me for a property dispute. I was told we can set up a consultation I said ok. I was looking for a price and when attorney called me I gave him a quick run down told him what I would like to do had everything lined up for him to draw up paperwork. He states yea that’s a good plan 1000 dollar retainer and I will send u a agreement.. he was 2 times higher than the attorney I hired in Bloomington. Yesterday I got a bill in the mail for 300 dollars from them. For consultation. Never once was I told there would be a consultation fee. I called today and

I went through a rough divorce. Kept trying to prolong things, drag it out. These lovely people at Woods and Bates kept my head on tight and got me through it easily. They kept pushing things forward. Always looked out for my best interest and were very comforting and helpful when I was overwhelmed or worried about things. I payed for a consultation approximately 5-6 weeks ago. During said consultation, I was given false promises, stating I would have paperwork for me to review within a few days. I have called multiple times and have been told “it’ll be in your email” “you will receive a call back” “Sooooo, what were you needing” “we will get that to you tomorrow in your email”. I’m tired of the run around. I was told a few days, it’s now been 5+weeks. Congrats on stealing my consultation fee.
