The creation of AOK Gourmet - The North Shore & Chicago Caterer and AOK Gourmet.on the go Caf have always been my dream. Working in an array of Chicago's North Shore kitchens throughout my teenage years sparked my curiosity and love for fine food and great service. This passion and drive continued as I earned a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

I cannot say enough good things about AOK Gourmet. They are always excellent and I have ordered from them for countless holidays. This Passover, with the quarantine, Owner Andy Kalish went above the call of duty. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but he made a special separate stop to deliver to my mother-in-law who lives alone in Northbrook (in addition to the our delivery in the city). His prices are VERY reasonable and he is a pleasure to do business with. My favorite dishes this year: brisket (the BEST), sweet and sour meat balls, brussels sprouts, grilled and roasted vegetable platter

This past weekend we had a large party for a special occasion my son was having. I decided to go with AOK as a referral from an old friend who has used him many times. I spoke with Andy a few times over the phone and emails to go over the menu and what we were needing. The day of the event came and when we walked in the room, it looked great then we saw the food on the buffet tables and was so impressed. The food was presented so beautifully and looked so good. I have used the services of AOK Catering many times from fruit trays and cheese platters to casual lunches of salads and sandwiches and elaborate holiday meals and every time is a great experience. Not only is the food delicious and very fairly priced, but the attention to detail and the customer service is the best. The owner, Andy and his entire staff are wonderful. There is no better caterer on the north shore. I am so grateful for all their help. They are always accommodating, even all the times I call and need last minute service. Excellent food, service and prices!

THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD, BUT THIS PLACE NEVER ANSWERS THEIR PHONE SO IT MAKES IT REALLY DIFFICULT TO WANT TO ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. THIS ISN'T THE FIRST OR SECOND TIME EITHER THAT I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM. MY WORK PLACE ORDERS FROM HERE FREQUENTLY SO ITS A DISAPPOINTMENT THAT THIS MINOR ISSUE STOPS US FROM ORDERING HERE. :(

We have used AOK for years for Passover and other holiday catering. Andy is wonderful to deal with and the food is exceptional. Given our busy schedules, we don't have time to prepare the holiday meals and every year Andy saves the holidays for us! Incredible food with wonderful service at really reasonable prices!
