Services
Eye Care Center of Memphis opened its doors in April of 1988 at the corner of Covington Pike and Stage road in Raleigh/Bartlett Memphis. We remained at that location for over 13 years, offering a full range of optometric services including our own in store lab for quicker service. Evaluation of the ocular effects of systemic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and many others.

Worst customer service I have ever received from any optometrist office. I was told my exam would be $99 and $30 for contacts. After being told that I could come at any time today to pick up, the older blonde lady that failed to introduce herself told me I had to sit and wait for the doctor or I couldn’t take my contacts. I put my contacts in and saw the dr for what I’m not sure. When I checked out they charged another $75 for “fitting”…. If they had told the truth in the beginning I would have never made the appointment here. I feel completely ripped off by this poor customer service

Dr. Moss is GREAT. I absolutely love Jackie, she is very knowledgeable and always honest when it comes to picking out my frames. She will never let you walk out of there without the perfect pair of glasses. Thank you so much to everyone that works here for always taking such good care of me! I highly recommend the eyecare center to anyone needing an Optometrist!! Honestly, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I was here a couple of weeks ago for an exam and new glasses and everything went good. The staff did a great job of getting me back to the doctor to get my exam completed. The lady that assisted me with selecting my glasses also did an excellent job. Very friendly staff and a nice selection of frames. This was my 2nd time here and I know I will be back in the future.

I am highly disappointed in the staff!!! Dr. Moss is a great doctor, but he needs a better staff. I am highly disappointed with my last exam and treatment after having issues with my contact lens. I first ordered a year’s worth of colored prescription contacts. When I went to pick them up and put them on, I couldn’t see clearly and was told, while in the office, that my eyes would adjust to them. They didn’t after almost a week so I called and was then told it was because I ordered colored contacts. This was strange to me because I have worn nonprescription colored contacts off and on for

Spent 250 on a frame and when i got them the glasses were smaller and wrong color. The tech ordered what she wanted me to have not what I asked and paid for!!😡😡 I also didn’t like when shopping for frames the frames are on a bookshelf that goes all the way to the floor. I have poor vision and a bad back I couldn’t even get to the ones down below.

Techs are not on one accord. When I originally went in for an exam I was told that based on my insurance I was eligible for glasses and spent time picking out a frame. When returning to pay, I was told I could not get a frame anymore and the tech that I originally talked to was new and did not give the correct information. I called back to ask about my insurance and what were my options, I was then told “I should be responsible for knowing my insurance”. Overall, poor customer service! I will not return.

I've been twice: once for a check-up to update my contact prescription, & a different time for an eyelid infection. Both times I did not wait long before seeing the doctor. I was able to schedule appointments promptly during days and times convenient to my schedule. Dr. Moss is kind and professional.
