Thank you for your interest in Calvary Chapel Preschool. The teachers and administrators would like to welcome you to join our school community where Christ is the center of our lives. It is our desire that we would join together to educate and support your child in their social, emotional, spiritual, and academic development.
Calvary Chapel Preschool (CCP), Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA), Chapel Junior High School (CCJHS) and Calvary Chapel High School (CCHS) are ministries of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa (CCCM). In 1970, CCCM opened its doors, under the leadership of Pastor Chuck Smith. In 1974, Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) was started in response to a need from the church families who wanted their children to receive a Christian education.
We are a developmental program with an emphasis in academics using our Christian based curriculum combined with a strong social-emotional foundational daily curriculum. Learning developmental skills and academics will be achieved through the children's heart, hands, and minds through play, exploration and critical thinking.
Our teachers and substitutes are certified in Early Childhood Education and/or possess a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. They possess years of experience and implement creative and imaginative ideas to engage children in a variety of developmental activities show a love for children.
God has blessed our school with an amazing certified outdoor classroom we call "Abba's Garden." Schools from across the nation have visited Abba's Garden to learn how to take our philosophy and learning curriculum to their own schools. In an outdoor setting, children are exposed to caring for God's creations while developing friendships, physical growth, and imaginative play.
