My husbands therapist definitely dropped the ball. My husband expressed his worry that he was not ready to face his mental health and sobriety at home and asked for extra time.... The therapist said she didn't recommend it. My husband came home and went to a in person AA meeting every day for over two months. He also tried to meet with his sponsor he got from turning point. They made plans. He showed up his sponsor didn't. The sponsor took all day to finally respond. And when he responded he said he went to Africa and joked like it was no big deal my husband went to meet him and got stood up. I

I love this place. It literally saved my life. The protocols that are in place make recovery possible if you are willing to work the steps and follow direction. I recommend Turning Point to anyone seeking sound treatment with consistent protocols geared for recovery. Staff is amazing and are truly concerned with your well being and success. I will always recommend Turning Point. Almost 2 years sober and loving my life and my sobriety.

Turning Point of Tampa saved my life!
Before I came to Turning Point I was binging on large amounts of food every night, taking my medications only sporadically and not sleeping. My therapist and psychiatrist at Turning Point reminded me that I could not speak a full sentence when I first arrived.
I was warned before I came to TPOT (short for Turning Point of Tampa, here after, in this review, I will be using it instead of Turning Point of Tampa at times), that it was like boot camp: well I needed a good boot! Yes, TPOT is very structured and that structure laid the foundation for the Recovery

All the staff was kind and professional to me. At the Eating Disorders house, the Eating Disorders clients ate all meals together. Jon, the Eating Disorders Therapist would visit the the Eating Disorders house at breakfast to motivate and encourage us clients. This visitation was such a nice blessing to begin our day.

Turning Point saved my life. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity I had to go there. It was clear to me that ethical practice and the success of the clients were the two most important factors in how the therapeutic community operates.

This is the only choice for treatment in Tampa. I would never send anyone I care about to another facility. Robin Piper, Hans Lutz, Jon Jasper, and Nicole Miller are simply the best at their craft. For professional, caring, effective treatment, TPOT is the only choice. I will be forever grateful.

I have seen Turning Point of Tampa save lives. They are well respected in the recovery community and work together for every person they treat. Recovery is not an easy path and growth is always painful but every staff member is well-educated, honest, and supportive.

I owe my life to Turning Point. The truly professional staff helped me build a foundation for my recovery which has set me on the path toward happiness. The obsession has been lifted. I have been to a handful of treatment centers in the area and Turning Point is the one that helped me help myself. I could not have done it without them.

I completely disagree with the post written by Katie F. This facility does not provide excellent client care. Beware! They are all about the money. If you don't have insurance that pays for your treatment in full, they want nothing to do with you.

Turning Point of Tampa violated my anonymity. I had no releases for any one. jim dwyer contacted my family any way. When I complained, jim dwyer, a Therapist at Turning Point of Tampa, told me I could sue Turning Point of Tampa.

It was a mistake to go to Turning Point of Tampa. I would not be comfortable recommending Turning Point of Tampa to any one.
