Services
Any questions that cannot be answered there can be asked of Dr. Cooney or his staff during your appointment. This list is by no means comprehensive and if you do not see a procedure that you require on the list, contact our office for assistance. Q: I am very afraid of the dentist and have trouble getting work done, can Dr. Cooney help me with that?
There is a famous saying among dentists regarding dentures; Dentures are not a replacement for teeth, they are a replacement for no teeth. Saving teeth is always the best option. If you are looking for true tooth replacement options, consider implants or bridges. If you have no teeth or no good teeth left, then the information below will be valuable in helping you understand life with a denture.
Amalgam fillings (or silver fillings as they are more often called) are metallic fillings made from silver and mercury, among other metals. This is the oldest and most trusted filling material that we currently use. It has a long reputation of success in the mouth with many of these fillings lasting three or four decades before the wear out.
With arguably the most infamous of reputations among the patient population, a root canal is a procedure that has made leaps in bounds in recent years regarding patient comfort and longevity. In fact, a root canal procedure in our office is the procedure that patient's fall asleep during the most. This is a testament to the comfort that a root canal can offer and also to the undeserved reputation that this procedure has.
Our office is proud to offer an affordable and virtually invisible way to treat adults wanting minor corrections to their front teeth. The following information was taken directly from the MTM(R) ClearAligner website. Visit it for more information or call our office to schedule an orthodontic consult with Dr. Cooney.

This has been my family's dentist office, since I can remember. I have really bad anxiety of going to the dentist being a 28 year old woman from past experiences, and I have never felt so calm since I have visited here. Cooney is so understanding and Erin is right behind him. Erin always answers the phone with a tone that brightens your day, and when you are the office she is there to make you feel like family. It's such a pleasure every time I go to this office. I currently live in Saint Charles, and drive this far to see this dentist and Erin because of the exceptional service I get

Cooney is terrible. Stay away! Far far away! He has multiple bad reviews on multiple websites, and the reviews on Yelp are accurate.

Dr. Cooney is unprofessional and will tell you that you need additional procedures that you don't need just to charge you more!

He told me I needed additional X-Rays so my insurance would cover a scaling procedure. When my insurance wouldn't cover it, Dr. Cooney asked me to come back for more X-Rays to file an appeal with insurance.

My insurance denied the additional X-rays and I had to pay over $1,200 for the procedure out of pocket. The next dentist I had told me I didn't need the scaling when she looked at my X-Rays.

Avoid Dr. Cooney at all costs!!

I went to see Dr. Cooney after filling came out and my tooth cracked. I will be totally honest here, I have never been a fan of going to the dentist, I had some bad experiences. I must say my experience with Dr. Cooney and his staff has been wonderful. His sister, who runs the office I believe, is so very nice, she helped set me at ease. Then Dr. Cooney backed it up by being very conscious of my comfort at all times and then did a great job of explaining everything to me and confirmed my understanding. I have been to the office twice now, once for the initial review of my immediate issue and

So I will start by saying before June 22, I had been a patient of Cooney Dental for about 4 years. I had nothing to say but positive comments. However, when I went on June 22, 2015 for a standard new filling, that was not the case. All of a sudden I had a new taste in my mouth and he filled it up without saying much (which I later found out it was a temporary filing.) However, at this point, I am more scared and want to know okay what is the next step, I had expected to spend $250 that day and walk out. Well his receptionist and/or hygienist handed me a bill for $2,000 and I am like well I wish

I abhor stepping foot into a dentist office, and usually avoid it at all cost. But I spent my weekend in pain that was quickly growing in intensity, and I found myself in tears by Monday morning. I called Dr. Cooney's office and was offered an emergency appointment as soon as I could get there, and while they do ask for payment upfront, which is understandable, it was affordable and the second I was done filling out paperwork, I was offered pain relief and a shot to make the rest of the appointment more comfortable. Dr. Cooney was incredibly kind and made sure I was out of pain before getting
