The roots of our practice go all the way back to 1969, when Dr. Robert Miller first started Arlington Heights Veterinary Hospital as a combination small and large animal care practice. The hospital has remained in the Miller family ever since, with Dr. Robert Miller's brother, Dr. Kenneth L. Miller, taking ownership of Arlington Heights in 1975 and shifting the practice's focus to concentrate solely on small animal medicine in 1985.

I have called 3 times for 2 different sick animals and got an answering service each time. I left a message each time and NEVER got a call back. This gives me absolutely no faith in Arlington Vet Clinic for any future health concerns for my pets. I will definitely not be giving them my business from now on.

We appreciated the care our dogs received at Arlington Heights for more than 19 years, until they stopped answering the phone or returning calls. They claim to be available for service by appointment, but there is no way to schedule an appointment. The last time I was able to secure an appointment, they charged an exorbitant deposit to hold the… appointment, with an unreasonable cancellation policy. Also, so far they have failed to fax records to our new vet. I would call them myself to request this, but they don't answer the phone...

In 1974 new to the area, I opened the yellow pages in need of a vet. What a blessing. We have been a loyal customer 40+ years. They have provided exceptional care in happy, sad and times of crisis With 9 animals

I left my baby perfectly fine aside from a slight wheeze for an ultrasound to check things after an xray showed "some" inflammation in her lungs, you sent her away in full on respiratory distress while telling me she was just "worked up" from the ultrasound and needed to "go home and calm down" after I asked why she was breathing so hard. Emergency… personnel completely dismissed me when I called not 30 minutes after leaving the clinic and seeing the full extent of her condition once out of the carrier, open mouth gasping for air and unable to stand or walk. This place really isn't taking new clients. Or I guess just not me. I tried to make an appointment. It took me four times calling in.
Got a lady who was not very friendly and said they were booked up till November 10. She recommended Indiana. Really

I am new to town and needed a vet as my dog was getting sicker everyday. Every place else I called was either not taking new patients or had a month+ wait and offered no compassion. Arlington LISTENED and responded, seeing my dog in an emergency the same day. And everyone was cheerful and professional.

I'm confident that my senior cat received the best care she could have during her surgery to treat an infection, in her stable hours following it, her less stable hours the next day, and in her succumbing to an infection that was ultimately too advanced for her in her old age. The doctors and techs were professional and sympathetic. I am very, very… disappointed in Arlington Heights that I was not called or notified during any part of the 36 or so hours my cat was with them - not following her surgery, her 50/50 prognosis the next morning, or her decline over the next couple of hours. The Morgan County Humane Society wants to thank all of the wonderful people who work at Arlington South. These Dr have big hearts on Arlington Road. They have gone out in the middle of the night when there was a fire at Delia's to rescue their animals. They have given me so much needed support when I've had to make decisions to have a love one put down. Afterwards when I went to the mailbox got such a comforting card. It's good to know I can reach out to them day or night.

They saw my ailing elderly dog on a Saturday, even when they had never seen her before. They were concerned, very caring, and sent a sympathy card to me because she had to be put to sleep. They were wonderful through the whole sad process. The vet or tech who administered the euthanasia meds sang a lovely, comforting song in Spanish while my "Camille" peacefully went to sleep for the final time.

We have always had a great experience at Arlington. The wait has never been long, and everyone is so friendly. We've even needed the emergency services at 10PM, and a vet came very quickly. He was very friendly, and didn't mind at all that he was called out. We don't plan on taking our dog anywhere else!

You will not find more loving animal people at any vet in town. My partner and I have been to see Dr. Bob and Ken Miller many times with our dogs. We have two Maltese and there health is very important to us. The doctors are knowledgeable, warm, passionate, and absolutely love the animals.
The staff is very friendly, they are “animal people”, we will continue to visit any time we are in need of some animal love and attention!
