If you an existing patient and are interested in an herbal consultation please email me at anatrazacupuncture@gmail.com. Chinese Medicine is the oldest, continually practiced, medicine in the world. It is over 3000 years old and has proved to work effectively and safely over the millennia. Chinese medicine aims to balance patterns of disharmony in the body.

It works to strengthen and awaken the body's natural resources to heal itself. One of the most important foundations of Chinese medicine is the concept which assumes that a part can only be understood in its relation to the whole. The theory of Yin & Yang represents this concept. Yin & Yang portrays opposite but completing qualities.

We are not a provider for any insurance companies. If you are eligible for acupuncture coverage from your insurance company we will provide you with the necessary insurance claim forms for you to submit directly for reimbursement. Cancellation must be made no later than 24 hours before treatment, otherwise you are responsible to pay for your appointment.
The initial visit will take an hour and a half as it includes a consultation and a treatment. Follow up visits will take an hour. If your treatment is in the morning, make sure you have some breakfast. It is better if you don't come to the treatment on an empty stomach. The treatments are strongly moving the qi, so it is better if you had something to eat an hour or more before.
Please call your insurance company to verify whether you have acupuncture benefits and if you can see an out of network practitioner. If you do, we will provide you with the appropriate insurance form (HECFA 1500) to submit to your insurance company. If you're only allowed to see an in network practitioner, your insurance company will provide you with a list of in network providers.
Acupuncture is very effective is treating morning sickness, back pain, sciatica, and anxiety. Moxibustion (warming herbs) technique is used to warm and thereby stimulate specific acupuncture points. For best results moxibustion should be used between week 33 and 35 of gestation. Normally the fetus will be in cephalic (head down) position by week 28 if all progresses well.
