Eickhoff Funeral Home
We have proudly served the Mendon area since 1947 and are pleased to offer this website service to our friends and neighbors. One interesting feature of this site is the ability to alert you by e-mail when we post a new obituary. It's simple and it's free. This is especially nice for those who spend their winter months down south, or don't receive a local paper.

Please know that we are actively taking measures to protect the families that we serve and the general public. At the same time we must adhere to guidelines from the CDC, from state and local health departments, and our local churches. It has been recommended by our Governor that we limit the number of people in attendance at visitations or funerals.
Services
The Eickhoff Funeral Home was founded in 1947 by the late Harry and Margaret Eickhoff. Following World War II, they made a visit to Mendon shortly after the local funeral director, Roy Olney had died. They took one look at the home's beautiful location on the St. Joseph River and fell in love with it.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.
