I drove an hour each way to go here. I took my dog to have her eye checked out because it’s still swollen after an injury.
I took her previously to Red Bank (who are excellent btw) and they told me to follow up with my regular vet after a week or so. So I went to WRVH and the doctor checked her eye. And did an unnecessary test of her eyeball. (She already saw an ophthalmologist in red bank) and prescribed a topical and steroid to bring down the swelling.
They bring me my dog. Then I proceed to wait an hour for the medication. Then I waited another 20 minutes just to pay.
I left. Drove an hour

I was referred to Dr. George by my ex-wife and her husband as well as my daughter. They highly recommended him. Now I see why. He was AMAZING!!! The staff was AMAZING!!! Everyone truly cared for my dog who is suffering from a back injury. They were not making me get a CT Scan. They stated it's beneficial but let's start with other less expensive options. They explained my choice was not hurting my dog.
It was Christmas Day and I paid less than I would have thought. I saw nothing but happy pet owners and a staff that did nothing but smile and treat all pet owners with amazing respect

I have had dogs for the last 35 years and stayed with the same vet all that time…until the last year. Here’s why…
George Cattiny owns and runs this facility with a combination of a warm bedside manner, always professional, top quality services with…reasonable prices! I just can’t believe they are everything you would want or need and open 24/7 on top of that!
George really loves his clients and their pets. My dog Stella was going to have an operation and I was really apprehensive. George took time with me and not only made me comfortable but he assured me that there would be no mistakes

I'm very disappointed with the new way this place is run. I've had some good experiences in the past even when paying premium prices (and I've spent a lot). But this place has turned into another Oradell hospital. I had an appointment scheduled and waited for close to an hour and not even a tech came out. Techs would come out and couldn't find patients. Either they lost them or they walked out like I did. Meanwhile some walk ins got all kinds of attention. Maybe because they were cats? I don't know but I had to just leave because I didn't want to make a scene. Even though I probably had every right

Two of my kitties have been treated at Westwood Regional Veterinary Hospital recently. The doctors and staff have been wonderful. Even when they're busy they manage to give you the attention your pet needs and give you all the options available. Dr. Cattiny is fantastic and we're definitely bringing our other babies to see him.

It's hard to say nice things when you are grieving the loss of a loved companion, but I have to say that the staff at WRVH was wonderful with my Brady. I brought him in on an emergency basis Satruday morning and 4 hours later had him back home feeling better. Sunday he was a different cat - he had gone into diabetic ketoacidosis. I called and they had me bring back him in immediately. Dr. McConnell answered me honestly when I wanted to know if it was time to say goodbye. She and the rest of the staff helped me get through this. I've had to have other pets euthanized before but it

My cat has been there twice now and she’s 19 years old. They have not put her through unnecessary tests, they are very upfront with costs, and they don’t have an emergency up charge. My kitty has been under their care and they genuinely want to help her feel better. They are very empathetic and know how hard it is for a pet owner when things go wrong health-wise. I do trust them with my cat’s life.

Dr was unwilling explain why extremely expensive tests were needed after she had prescribed anti and probiotics. My dog has bad gas and diarrhea, and is almost 15 years old. I practically begged for something mild to treat the symptoms. She responded by running out of the room and sending a helper in with a quote for tests approaching $2,000. My… appointment was for 12:30. I was seen at 12:50 for five minutes, and then sat in the room for almost 30. Evidently, the Vet had more important things to do. I also left a message one week prior to my appointment asking for advice on an OTC option

The wait is terrible even with an appointment. Expect to wait at least an hour.
As easily as they diagnose your pet, they just as easily rip you off with an expensive bill. They came out with one bill which had shown a $90 in-house culture sample test but after I signed they came back with another bill stating that “they couldn’t do the in-house and would have to send it out” for over $400 excluding the other injections/medications/and exam bill. With the medications and equipment they have they are still unable to provide sample testing? Huge pass.

Vet on staff 24 hrs, your pet is never left allow to me that is very important. The front deck people kind and more than helpful. The hospital is clean the vets are caring and responsive to your needs. I have never been disappointerd. I have recommended then time and time again. As far as feeling they are short staffed-remember the impact covid has had on every business. Do some reading and find out how stressfull their job is

I was able to bring my cat the same day I called with an urgent but not critical health issue. Dr. Curtis was fantastic, Maria ( tech vet) was a pleasure to deal with the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. This clinic is a great alternative to other emergency care clinics in the area, because they are open 24/7 and do not charge hundreds of dollars just for walking in. My visit on 11/7/21 was a pleasant surprise.

I dont know what is happening with this facility, I have been leaving messages for two of their doctors and have not gotten a return call. I can only hope that my messages are not being given to the doctors because the thought of them not returning calls would make me more angry. After my initial consultation for therapy of my dog and a game plan put in place I can not get in touch with the doctors to proceed. I have decided to move on to another hospital that will want to help me and my pup. Very disappointed.

I’ve been to this hospital many times for spay, teeth cleaning, surgery and well visits I’ve always had very pleasant interactions with staff & reception there all very friendly, helpful and everything is explained thoroughly.
Dr Cattiny is definitely one of the best veterinarians in our area he is an excellent surgeon and his knowledge and… expertise is priceless. When it comes to my dogs I’m looking for the best Dr. to care for my fur babies and Dr Cattiny is it ! I’m so grateful to have him and his facility available 24/7 in case of an emergency. Dr Cattiny

If I could give a negative star I would.
I brought my dog to Westwood animal hospital thinking she was having a stroke and they would put her out of her misery. Instead, I was told she was perfectly healthy and just had a case of vestibular ataxia. I was charged $1200 for my visit which included vitamins and medications to make her feel better. As well as a "cool laser treatment" to help with her supposed back pain.
I brought her home and she died that night.
I will never forgive or forget this "veterinary" office. They are all about the money and not about helping

This place will find every possible test that can come up with to be related to why your brought your pet in and make you feel guilty if you don't run the tests.

I truly had hopes for this animal hospital upon my first visit, but boy, was I wishful thinking. Yes, the vets themselves are great, but the staff up front is the most Incompetent, unqualified people I have… Ever encountered. Listen to this, I made this appointment for my special needs cat a MONTH in advance. The day comes & they suddenly tell me the appointment doesn't exist. How does it magically disappear? Couldn't have been on my end, I mean I only SAW the front desk girl put in the appointment, TELL ME I am all set & even have the card from the hospital that she wrote the drs

While we enjoyed interacting with the staff who are all extremely lovely and helpful, below are some of the reasons why that after 6 months, we won’t be coming back here. 1. When our dog required a TPLO surgery, we were quoted over $10,000. I called 15 other vet surgeons, the highest price was ~$7000, the average was ~$5000. Had to go there for emergency for my cat he had a skin issue Dr Cattiny was walking around saying hello to everyone making sure everyone was comfortable that was very reassuring. Dr Taylor McConnell was absolutely wonderful. Went over every detail with me and weighed out all options which made the visit very easy . Called me back two days later after her day to answer a question. Very nice experience . Nice people!!

I've never trusted anyone else for the past 11+ years with the care of our pet other than Dr. Hartwick. She is caring, gentle, compassionate, and most importantly will treat your pet as if they were her own. Selfishly glad that her newest endeavor has brought her close to our home at this new and amazing facility!

After consenting to surgery, an estimate which included pre-operative treatment/expenses I was told would be part of the charge of surgery.
We brought our dog in the night before surgery. The day of surgery,
