Totally tried to get over on me. I brought a piece of jewelry to sell. This person told me that it was 10k despite my telling him that it was 14k. He then said he tested it at 10k. I protested and he referred to the color and said, "see, it's even a different color (showing me another piece of gold). It's old gold.
The piece is 50 years old and he's trying to dupe me with the color. Gave me a lowball price based on 10K. I took it to three other jewelers since and they verified at 14k.

Dude at the counter did not even check the coins condition or nothing. All he did was go by the price on the unc container which at the time, the price on the container was put there in 1960-1970. What a joke.
One of the coins is worth well over 150 bucks and I was offered 100 for all my coins combined.
