Services
Established in 1988, Green Byrne Child Care Center is located in the Wm. J. Green Federal Building in Philadelphia, PA. Our state-of-the-art child care facility includes security code access, an outdoor playground, and a fully-equipped kitchen with healthy meals prepared on-site daily. We serve 100 children, ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
Providing effective curricula is the staple of early education and it defines everything we do at the Green Byrne, from classroom activities to the food program. Our curriculum is determined through "authentic assessment" of the children, which occurs through daily observation. We strictly follow the American Pediatric Association guidelines for health and safety practices.

Fee of $50 has gotten me ten years on their waiting list. Each time I call ton inquire about enrolling in the fall I'm told there is no spot. So, dozens or perhaps more other kids born after the money sent in must have since ENROLLED and GRADUATED ahead of both my two kids first day even though that fee was paid back in 2016 and is considered nonrefundable.
But don't worry, you're still on our list! At the bottom now, I suppose

Hi everyone so i went to this place this morning somehow i was confused and i was in the wrong childcare! I had made an appoinment with soundstart headstar (correct place) but i end up in this green byrne child care and i though my appoinment was there cause of how the security sistem works with search and id (federal building) and soundstar told me i had to bring id ! Anyways when i walk in to green byrne the front desk girl told me they dint have any openings and the she was not expecting anyone there today with appoinment but i thoug i was in the right place and i told the girl wow thats weard

Rating 5 stars although my 2 month old did not start at Green Byrne just yet, she is expecting to start next month. The tour and the service is 5 star worthy. I’ll give another review once she starts but I just wanted to say that the Center and the staff are wonderful. The children look happy, what more could you ask for? They have a full kitchen on site with a chef who prepares the food for the children, even the baby food which is exciting. I was also informed that they provide enfamil formula for the babies which is also great although my baby is strictly on breast milk I’m sure someone
