Founded in 2007, La Vie Acupuncture Clinic provides care to the Ventura and Los Angeles communities. We specialize in providing care for children, adults, and seniors. At La Vie Acupuncture Clinic, we understand the need for consistent care. We treat each patient like family. Acupuncture is a procedure performed using small needles. These needles are almost as thin as a hair. Each needle is sterile, stainless steel and disposable (Acupuncture needles are used only once). Clinical research has proven that acupuncture works, and that it can be used to treat pain. Acupuncture may be used to treat pain in conjunction with prescribed pain medication or without.
Herbal medicine is the art of formulating natural herbs, without chemicals, to treat medical conditions. Medications manufactured by pharmaceutical companies use natural herbs to create sophisticated compounds to treat medical conditions. Unfortunately, these compounds often create side effects. Herbal prescriptions don't have any side effects because we use the plants as a whole.
Our practitioner has studied to a large extent the art of Japanese acupuncture which provides a gentle and effective treatment. This technique is used for all diseases and it provides a sense of well being during the course of the acupuncture session. As treatment is provided for a specific disease, the body usually endures a high level of stress that needs to be addressed during the therapy which offers a greater chance of success.
Alexandre Hillairet, DAOM earned his degree in Biochemistry from the University of Marseille, France. He successfully received a master's degree from the College of Oriental Medicine in Santa Barbara. He completed his externship working with stage IV Cancer patients at hospices, provided acupuncture services at the American-Indian Clinic in Santa Barbara and he trained at the University of Morinomya, Osaka, Japan.

Was fine. Charged me 85.00 dollars for the treatment. He told me to put Johnson's baby powder on the rash. Need I say more? That company just paid billions out for that powder causing cancer. Please! Don't waste your money.

Dr. Hillairet is an all around awesome doctor and person in general. He is informative as to the issues presented and has a path as to how to treat them. I was looking for someone who was greatly trained, gentle and skilled in the field and have certainly found him. He has a doctorate in acupuncture and oriental medicine, is published in Japan and his bedside/tableside manner is amazing. I look forward to every treatment. I highly recommend either of his offices Ventura or Canoga Park.

This is my first time trying Acupuncture. My Dr recommended it as a final resource to treat my neck & shoulder problem with our surgery or painful injections. I chose to keep off medications and try other methods to treat the problem. Dr. Hillairet is very informative and very helpful. I have been going to him for a little over a month & I can definitely feel the difference. I am slowly returning to my normal routines with little or no pain since I started. I had many choice of where to go, I'm glad I came here. The office is very clean & Dr Hillairet is very professional

Dr. Hillariet is extremely good at what he does. I was somewhat skeptical when I 1st went to him as have had bad experiences before with couple of acupuncture people. BUT Dr. Hilliairet worked with me for a treatment that worked for my body pain. He is amazing as I leave there feeling like I am floating on a cloud. My back/body pain has gone from a pain level of 7-8 to 1-2 and have stopped taking the hydrocodone that been taking for years. THIS IS THE GUY YOU NEED TO GO SEE.
