THANK YOU APRIL, DR. K AND DR. LUI
F all the other vets because I've been pestering them about biopsy results for my cat that is declining and Dr. LUI wasn't gonna be in the office for a while. The rest of the vets shrugged it off as you can see in their highlighted responses in green, but Dr. K called me right away and told me even though he wasn't my cat's doctor.
We were able to find a surgeon asap (2 hours away since most vets are booked weeks or months out) because our cat doesn't have until the end of the month to wait for all of this.

Dr. Moren and the whole staff at Sumner Vet Hospital were truly amazing and it felt like they really cared. So glad I decided to come here for my pup to have surgery to remove an obstruction that was apparently stuck in his intestine since June! I recommend this place to anyone who is unsure or panicking about finding a vet for serious procedures, because my experience was 10/10.

Brought my kitten in after she abruptly stopped eating or moving. They were able to see her in about four hours. They gave my kitty antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds after doing X-rays and blood tests. She is back to her normal self now. The vet and vet techs were so compassionate. 10/10 would bring a critically ill pet here again. Thank you!!!

I am only offering 2 stars as they offer the basic value of treating animals (sort of). Lack of communication and common sense revolves immensely around their structure. Here is a long list of issues I’ve dealt with that have only gotten worse as the years have gone by:
Exorbitant prices for procedures. Back in 2017 I received a quote for spaying our female dog for $600+.
They offer multiple vets at the clinic which positively means that there are sometimes ways to get in faster, however, negatively it comes with a lack of structure with communication amongst veterinarians. One vet says this

We brought my dog in for a long-term eye injury that suddenly got really bad. We did end up having to wait a long time, but that was to be expected. Staff was kind and we were appreciative of that. The doctor gave us the option of performing surgery to remove my dog's eye on the spot for $2,200. He said he wasn't sure but that if he had to put a number on it there would be a 60% chance the eye would have to come out regardless and that if we saw an ophthalmologist who performed surgery, it may not do anything anyways. We opted to have my dog see a specialist who diagnosed and treated

Took my dog in Joey on Dec 1, 2021. We called and told them he had a big bloody mass hanging from inside his mouth. We weren't sure if it was a abcesses tooth or what? But he was bleeding. Not gushing but bloody. We waited for about 3 hours and a man came out and got our info and took a look at Joey. He was not bleeding at the moKent. We showed him where the mass was but couldnt really get dog to open his mouth. They finally came out and took him in and within a half an hour or longer. Not sure. They said they couldn't do anything. WHAT. They charged me $150 dollars

Great customer service. They come to the car to help with paper work and picking up your furry friend. I appreciated how they explained the situation and what the treatment options were. Plus they are open 24 hours a day for emergencies! Thank you again to the night crew for the great experience!

We brought our pup in for an emergency visit. We did wait a few hours to be seen and did notice that a few patients in more critical shape than our pup were seen first which pushed our time back a bit but that is expected when visiting an ER vet at 10pm on the weekend. Care was great , staff was lovely, and the bill was less than I had expected. If we have another emergency we will definitely choose this hospital agian.

It it tough to find veterinarian care not to mention emergency vet care. We had a great experience! My dog had an allergic reaction after our vet was closed. They were able to see her quickly and addressed our concerns. The staff was sweet and it was very reasonably priced. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised it only took about 2 hours in all. Happy that they are down the street in case anything happens!

They were absolutely amazing when i had to out my baby to sleep. The vet techs and vet were so kind and caring. After the out his iv in they wrapped him in a blanket and let me hold him thru the whole process. If any of my other animals needed a vet i definitely would go back. The price for him to be put to sleep a paw print and an urn after cremation was only 350.

Worst place ever this hospital is crap deletes the honest reviews what a way to hide the truth they just want your money overcharge you, wants to kill your pet, and lie and say they walked your pet when they never did. I’d rather go to auburn and wait this place is the crappiest ever. And they talk very unprofessional.

I took my dog here early this evening with an obstruction. I know times are weird and everybody is understaffed so I expected and was fully ready to spend many hours in the parking lot.
I pulled in, and… called. They communicated clearly and efficiently, and let me know my approximate wait time.
They came to my vehicle (explaining some of the potential costs), got my dog inside the hospital and after about an hour I got a phone call letting me know they were successful in getting him to vomit the obstruction.
As we waited, I watched employee after employee go in and out of this facility

We suffered a tragedy today. Our beloved 8 year old Mastiff mix was down and Hypothermic after we found her down outside this morning. Gums white and lethargic, we called around to 15 -20 clinics and after hours of trying, Sumner was the first to say we can see you if it's truly an emergency. At this point she is starting to have problems breathing, so we load her up and rush to the clinic that is over an hour away.

She died in my husband's arms just as we pulled into the clinic parking lot.

The clinic staff were all very caring and compassionate. They did an ultrasound and tapped

We loved sumner vet for years, spent alot of money there, but they have to many patients and are scheduled out for over a month even for appointment for a sick pet (uti) but we sure could wait 6-10 hours in a cold car outside with her.... Now if it was a life or death I get waiting but turning a long time loyal patient away because you have to many animals now!! STOP EXCEPTING NEW PATIENTS when your already full!!! new patient should be seen under emergency only!

Please please please please if you love your pet do not take them to Sumner veterinary hospital they are unprofessional and it's all about the money. they wanted $4,500 as a down payment for one of my sick puppies I had two of them it would have cost me $9,000. they wouldn't have even taking them in there unless I paid that money first how… pathetic is that. I brought them home and they died early in the morning. They are definitely only in it for the money. If you don't believe me go ahead and take your pet to them. I wouldn't go if I were you. they should be forced to close their doors

Our experience at Sumner Veterinary Hospital was great. Staff is super friendly and treated our fur baby with lots of care. Dr was super informative and gave great advice on how to properly take care of our baby girl at home. The wait is a long one but understandable due to literally being the only hospital who will take new patients on a Sunday. Would highly recommend this hospital to anyone! - Thank you 😊

Waited 5 hours in my car to receive treatment for my dog because of their policy. You need to wait in your car or you will lose your place in line. I had no other choice but to sit with my dog while he was in pain and had no resources to care for him myself otherwise he would not be treated at all.

I spoke to the vet and she said it was a bite of some kind and they drew a sharpie around the swollen area to monitor if it got worse and gave him a sedative and anti-inflammatory. I arrived at 2, he was taken at 6:30, and I didn't get him back until 10:30 to 11. The bill ended up being 450 dollars

I really hate to leave negative reviews about any business, especially during a time when there are serious challenges, especially for vets. However I think pet owners need to have the information they need to choose a veterinarian as it is also very difficult for us to find care for our beloved animals right now.

My mom took her cat to Sumner for many years, and they were great, especially caring and accommodating during the kitty's illness and eventual end of life. I also had a couple of emergency visits with other animals over the years, and had equally good experiences.

Dr. Nick Larson and the team at Sumner Vet took great care of my 14 year old chihuahua. We came in for emergency treatment, called from the parking lot and they came immediately to triage her. I didn't feel I waited too long before they had the answer and a treatment regimen ready. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. The 24 hour hospital stay was supported by multiple phone calls and check ins. I felt safe and supported, and that they really cared about our Churro and us. Thank you sooo much Dr. Larson for all you did!

I have come here a quite a bit for my dog, Annie, and they have also treated her so well. I have used their emergency/urgent care a few times and they are so responsive and have taken care of Annie.

There was an incident where Annie was super sick, and they were honest that there was a chance that she might not be able to make it. Their staff was awesome in terms of handling the emotional state I was in and I felt their genuine comfort when talking to my family and I. Annie stayed at the hospital for two nights, three days, and I was welcomed in visiting her and they were promote in getting her
