Whether you come to South Hill Veterinary Hospital for a basic check-up, an extensive medical procedure or to board your animals in our state-of-the-art boarding wing, you will receive the highest quality medicine and customer service. This combination has been the secret to our success over the years.
We offer a wide variety of medical care including annual wellness exams, preventative care, vaccinations, senior pet exams and of course, diagnostic and therapeutic care for pets that are ill. Our surgical suites are equipped with a laser machine as well as the latest anesthetic and monitoring devices.

South Hill Vet graciously walked me through putting our family pet down. This was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. From the way they handled me on the phone calling in and asking questions about what would be best to coming in with our pet and putting him down they handled it with such grace and compassion. I am SO thankful and impressed and would recommend this hospital for all who are in the same situation. The doctor and assistants we so supportive, and understanding of the heartbreak I was going through.

This facility has provided compassionate and knowledgeable care for my family's pets for the last decade. Diagnosis and treatment plan options are explained in a comprehensible manner and include cost/benefit analysis when appropriate.

Useless. This vet and every other vet around Lakewood and in the entirety Of Washington. If you’ve just moved here because of the military or new in general, you have 0 vets in sight willing to help 🤷🏽♀️ Yea they have a spay and neuter for fixing but if your cat is sick then you’re better over going in debt at an emergency vet if they’ll even take them.

We had to put our cat to sleep. They were very compassionate throughout the whole procedure. Allowed us enough time to say our goodbyes. Gave your a sedative to help comfort her cause it was hard to find the vein. They made a caster of her paw and sent us a very nice card. We have used them for 21yrs for all of our pets.

I was a client at South Hill from 2016-2020 with two different dogs and when I moved away from the area I was so sad to leave this practice!
South Hill helped me through the end of my dog Mary’s life (and all the struggles that come with caring for a senior pet) as well as the beginning of life care for my next pup, Tahoma. Between both dogs I felt like I was always getting the highest quality care. The veterinary staff did an excellent job when it came to continuity of care. Even if multiple doctors helped with a case I could tell they did chart reviews and I never felt like they didn’t know

Our super cool cat Ricky who can sit and shake like a good boy has been going to South Hill Vet since we adopted him at 8 weeks old, he is a year old now. Everyone there are very knowledgeable and kind. We have always had very good experiences there and they have reasonable prices. We just had Ricky neutered this week, we all had a great experience, I mean as well as to be expected.... Ricky's cute little fuzzy balls could be better of course lol 😬
