The Chinatown Community Children's Center (CCCC) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality early education and other social services to meet the needs of new immigrant and bilingual/bicultural families in San Francisco. Our mission is to help integrate these families into American society and gain economic stability while maintaining their cultural identity.
Services
What makes CCCC unique is our history. Our organization was founded in 1972 as part of California's Asian-American civil rights movement. Our early leaders mobilized campaigns to make public services available to both Chinatown and the Asian-American community at large.

In fact, our first Executive Director, Dr. Lucinda Lee Katz, was one of the plaintiffs in the landmark 1974 U.S. Supreme Court case Lau v. Nichols that legalized bilingual and English-as-a-Second-Language education in our nation's public schools. As a result of this activism, CCCC remains involved in broader neighborhood and community issues.
Jeannie enjoys reading, eating, swimming, traveling, hanging out with family and friends. Her enjoyment working in Early Childhood has been very enriching throughout the years. She is amazed by how much learning personally and professionally this field is teaching her.

She is also very grateful to be with supportive Board and Staff Members who are dedicated, caring, and conscientious in working together for our children, families, and the community. As the saying goes, "it takes a village to raise a child." Janet Lui was graduated from Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.
CCCC is in collaboration with the SF Foster Grandparent Program, which helps children learn to read, provides one-on-one tutoring, and guides children at a critical time in their lives. Put simply, they give the kind of comfort and love that sets a child on the path toward a successful future. In addition, this intergenerational assistance is respected and adds a family flavor to the program.
Our mission is to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond by promoting educational achievement, ensuring household economic stability and strengthening cultural identity. We fulfill our mission by operating 2 core programs - the Early Childhood Development Program and the Early Intervention Project.
The Chinatown Community Children's Center is opened to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. Children 2-5 years old, whose family meet all income and need criteria requirements, shall have full access to our services regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, or religion. The Chinatown Community Children's Center is licensed by the California State Department of Social Services.
