Services
The projects that we're involved with typically include topographic/hydrographic survey, construction layout, airport obstruction survey, utility location and line survey and of course, Boundary Survey and Elevation Certificates & LOMA survey. We are committed to providing our clients with the most accurate and cost effective services through the use of in-house Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CAD).
Before purchasing a property, most homeowners will have a detailed home inspection and value assessment performed on the house, so they have an idea of what they're investing in. A majority of the time, those same prospective buyers will have only a vague idea of the boundaries of the land that the house sits on.
A majority of the survey services that Vermont Survey provides are for highway projects for the Vermont Agency of Transportation, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation and the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission. Typically this work is done in conjunction with regional and national engineering firms providing engineering services.
Stephen began his surveying career in 1975 after graduating from Vermont Technical College. He was employed for twenty-five years by the City of Barre as a mapping and surveying specialist before coming to work for VSE in 2005. In 2009 he became co-owner of Vermont Survey and Engineering, Inc. and as the Senior Licensed Land Surveyor he has been responsible for overseeing all deed/records research, boundary surveys and plat preparation.
