The Wells family and Wells Funeral Homes have been an important part of Haywood County for over 130 years and through 5 generations. One of the many things time has taught us is that we can never do too much for our community and friends, which is why we have chosen to create a reception and event venue centrally located for our community.

We believe Wells Events & Reception Center will become an integral part of our community's social and civic activities. In the fall of 2012, J. Wells Greeley purchased The Mountaineer Newspaper press room and publishing building adjacent to the Waynesville location of Wells Funeral Home, only 11 feet away.

Catering Options Report

Wells Events & Reception Center provides not only space for your event, but also provides food & beverage options from a variety of menus. Catering menus provided by area restaurants and private caterers allow you menu choices that range from breakfast buffets, sandwich bars, heavy hors d'oeuvres and desserts to full buffet.

This is an exceptional venue. It is very tasteful, the staff efficient,yet unobtrusive. The food was abundant and we'll presented. Depending on adjacent facilities, time of day, etc access ( parking) may require a short walk, but not a problem.

These people were so accommodating, absolutely the best! Making people feel comfortable in an awkward setting and these people have it down to a science. Excellent, friendly service creating a wonderful atmosphere for all. What more can I say?
I'm eternally grateful for all the assistance, guidance, and personalized service given us at my daughter's wedding and reception. Had the best time! Made this incredibly important day all the better for ALL us!

The best place for special occasions. Angie Leatherwood and her Staff are the very best at accomodating your every needs. This is our second time using Wells and they did not dissappoint us. They are the best handsdown in this area!!! Thank You Angie and Staff

Hosted a wedding reception. Staff was courteous and very accommodating. No need for linens, the dark tables were gorgeous and with candlelight made for a romantic setting.
