We, here at the Haire Veterinary Clinic, offer a full service small animal veterinary clinic which includes everything from general well checks to specialty procedures. You will find a friendly small town atmosphere coupled with a referral type professionalism. We have the only regions MRI machine serving Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, and Southeast Missouri.
We offer a full range of general and soft tissue surgical options for your pet aimed at preventative health care, disease/trauma treatment, and oncological intervention. Our goal is to provide affordable spays and neuters to the local area so that we can help stem the over population issues plaguing domestic animals today.
Here at Haire Veterinary Clinic, we offer a wide range of orthopedic and neurologic solutions to help meet you pets needs. Some procedures will been done on an out-patient bases while other will require a brief over night stay. Orthopedic services include everything ranging from complex fracture repair, tendon and ligament repair, to reconstructive surgeries such as corrective osteotomies and Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomies (TPLO).
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses a very strong magnetic field to produce extremely high resolution images of soft tissue. MRI's provide the best soft tissue contrast of all the imaging modalities. This allows for unparalleled and unlimited possibilities for diagnostics for each patient. Contrast can also be used for the enhancement of tumors, allowing for greater imaging of cancer.
This technique for evaluation is more accurate than the current standard in its ability to predict the onset of osteoarthritis (OA). Osteoarthritis, also known as degenerative joint disease (DJD), is the hallmark of hip dysplasia. PennHip is more than just a radiographic technique.

NEVER HAD BEEN THERE BEFORE. TOOK OUR CAT DOWN TO GET FIXED. SINCE HIS OWNERS MOVED OUT AND LEFTED HIM BEHIND. . THE LADIES WERE AWESOME. NICE. KIND. CARING. WE SPENT THE GOOD PART OF THE DAY DOWN THERE. TO WAIT ON HIM. BUT WE HUNG OUT AND HAD LUNCH. AND SPENT TIME WITH EACH OTHER.. BUT WE WILL SURE TAKE OUR OTHER PETS DOWN TO GET STUFF DONE. I can't say enough about the level of care here. First, Dr Haire is one of the most knowledgeable, capable vets I've ever met. The man knows his stuff. Second, the whole clinic went above and beyond to take care of my dog for both of her knee surgeries. They don't just give lip service to caring - they go out of their way to make sure your pet is given the very best. 5 stars isn't enough.

I actually live in Los Angeles but i am from southern Illinois. I was referred to Dr. Haire. So i flew home with my pup and he gave me better service and actual answers that the vets here in Los Angeles could or would but for a certain price. I left feeling very impressed, comfortable, and relieved After our visit. I will be coming home to visit him again with my pup in the future.

I have used Dr. Haire's office for years and recommend him to everybody. We always get very personalized service and all three vets there (Dr. Bailey, Dr. McKibben and Dr. Haire) are all very good about being upfront and giving you all your options; I have never experienced feeling as if they are all about money. They actually care about your pets... Which is the best thing about a small business. They are great with all our dogs and our cat, one of which is rather standoffish and doesn't do well with everybody. Dr. Haire is a AWESOME orthopedic surgeon and we have never experienced ANY

On 1-7-15 Gary McKinney performed castration on our dog.He did a fine job, but I asked for a cone to protect him, they said he didn't need one.So I took him home. Needless to say the next morning all the stitches were gone leaving a three inch hole.Took him
back the next day to have restitched.They told me to leave it-it would heal on its own. I would'nt want a hole
in my body so don't want it for him. The first Dr. wasn't there so another-rather new one did the
restitching.Also did a good job.Our dog has heartworm so they had to sedate him and kept him for a few hours. When
