Services
By 1915 Harold Jackman and Albert Penny were providing funeral services in Harrison, Ohio. In 1935 it was named the Jackman-Bullock Funeral Home when Eugene Jackman and Edwin Bullock became proprietors. In 1948 Mr. Bullock left to pursue other interests. Mr. Jackman is later joined by Ronald and Judy Kercheval in 1965.
Growing up in his family funeral home, Chris is proud to be the fourth generation in the funeral industry. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science with a Bachelors of Science degree. His professional affiliations include: NFDA, OFDA (Past Young Funeral Directors Committee), International Cemetery, Crematory and Funeral Association, and Academy of Professional Funeral Service.

Chris was an absolute "angel" in our time of sorry. He was so compassionate with our family and showed complete respect for my father at the time of his passing. Covering him in an American flag, not a black zipper bag, and placing a white rose on the pillow of his bed after removing his body. This was just first class and appreciated. Jackman Hensley laid my mother to rest today. As I thought back on the day, it was exactly how she would have wanted it. Chris and the team were so helpful at every turn. I'd be struggling with something and they would notice without me saying anything and come over and assist. Chris made it very clear that whatever we needed, he would provide. And he did, right down to helping my elderly father throughout the day. If they can make us feel this way in the middle of a snowstorm, in the middle of a pandemic, I will forever have nothing but good things to say about them. Thank you all for making the

As a Harrison Native I’ve sadly seen the inside of this Beautiful Funeral Home more than I care to recall but Never Once has the Experience been Anything but Respectful. From more Personal Experience my dealings with Chris Hensley began in 2002 when my Father Passed and has continued now for near two decades with my Mother Passing in 2019 and Brother in 2020 and there is Nobody I could or would recommend more. 🏴🇺🇸

My family just laid my uncle to rest and Chris and his crew went above and beyond to make sure his ceremony was beautiful and very fitting. From the attention to detail, to the compassion and respect they not only showed my family , but my uncle was top notch. The man who picked up my uncle and took him to the funeral home told me when he picked him up he realized he was also a marine and they played the marine hymn all the way to the funeral home❤❤❤ They are wonderful and do the little things that seem so small, but are indeed so profound. In our darkest times Chris made it so much easier on us. We lost our precious grandbaby and he laid him to rest and did a beautiful job for us. His compassion , his love was felt by our family.
