Klare's Carpet, Inc. is family owned and operated, serving Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and surrounding areas for over 40 years. After moving his family to Fort Myers Beach in the late 1970's, the late Dave Klare first opened Klare's Carpet, Inc. on San Carlos Island. Passed on to his sons, Todd and Scott Klare, Klare's Carpet, Inc. is a true family business.
As children, Todd and Scott first got their start in the carpeting business by visiting their father's "Carpet Barn" warehouse after school in Shelbyville, IN. They would help out the installers, run the forklifts, and just about anything else that needed to be done. Off the beaten path, our business has come almost exclusively from word of mouth referrals and an outstanding reputation.

No one can deny that hardwood carries with it an elegance that few other flooring options do. With nearly as many different looks, designs and color options as carpet, it is a force to be reckoned with. There are three main types of hardwood flooring. Each one carries with it a different set of pros and cons.
For years now, laminate flooring has been a very popular choice in today's flooring market, even amidst ever-changing trends and options. It's an option that is as affordable as it is durable, and manages to mimic the wood-look better now than it ever has in times past. In fact, with new technology, these floors will be hard to differentiate from the real thing.
As one of the oldest floor coverings that is still used in homes all over the world today, tile flooring comes with a lot of preconceived notions. Many homeowners believe that it is super easy to take care of and easy to clean. This is certainly true of many types of materials like this, but there are few more things we think you should know before you decide.
One thing is sure when it comes to luxury vinyl flooring (also known as LVF). It is definitely not the bargain-bin value vinyl from years ago. You may even have memories of it from your grandmother's kitchen. No, LVF is a whole new generation of vinyl with outstanding benefits and a life span you'll greatly appreciate, right from the start.
