Leland wrote his first business plan for a restaurant when he was in the 10th grade. As you might imagine, it was a terrible idea and it's a blessing that he didn't have the means to execute it or the half-dozen or so that followed it. He developed whatever skill set he might possess in luxury hotels and fine dining restaurants around the country, writing and contributing to a few cookbooks along the way.
Sinplicity Catering was a serendipitous accident created with the talented people that Mr. Atkinson was fortunate enough to surround himself with. Earliest food memory: Hand-cranking peach ice cream on my grandmother's porch. The milk, cream and fruit all came from not too many steps away on the long-gone family farm.

Services
Afternoon snacks, box lunches and sandwich buffets just got a lot better! In addition to the flavors you may already know, we've just invented Tater Pop: Route 11 Potato Chips & Popcorn in our Signature Glaze. Tossed with Asiago Crisps and just-enough Spice. This is sure to be our most popular and "safest" choice.
The Continental: Fresh-Baked Classic Muffin served with Fresh Fruit Salad & Assorted Dannon Yogurt with House-Made Granola. All boxes served with Fresh Fruit Salad and Assorted Dannon Yogurt with House-Made Granola. We request a minimum of 8 of each selection please (We'll happily make as few as 1 vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free entre if needed.)
If you order No-Touch catering from us, all sides will be individually packaged for safety. To maintain freshness, color and nutrients, the following vegetables are served at room temperature! Enjoy crisp & refreshing accompaniments to your hot menu. Tortilla with Chicken, Black Beans and Corn (with Tortilla Strips-does not include baguette slices).
Each box is clearly labeled with allergens and contains appropriate utensils and sanitizing packets. Sinplicity catering is one of the most professional, responsive, helpful, businesses I have ever worked with. Lisa & her staff were beyond helpful in my time of need. The food was beyond delicious, presentation phenomenal, great pricing, they went above and beyond the call to help my family in our time of bereavement. Whenever I need an event catered Sinplicity is the only company in the Virginia/DC area I will call. Thanks again!!

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
They are super flexible, professional and offer a wonderful variety whether it is for lunch or for special events. Pre-pandemic we ordered for thought leadership events and it was truly a hit! The service was spot on, professional and thorough. I look forward to ordering again once we resume meetings in person.

We got breakfast from Sinplicity four our office staff this past Tuesday and we were amazed by their service, their food, their price and the way they are carefully packaging everything to comply with latest health safety regulations. I'm very impressed by the way they are reinventing themselves. I will keep getting our breakfast from them.

Had a great experience with Sinplicity when ordering pandemic-friendly individually wrapped desserts for a celebration of life ceremony. They were super responsive, flexible with changes, delivery was on time and professional and the desserts were absolutely delicious. Highly highly recommend.

I was so happy with the entire process working with this very professional company. They catered ours son's wedding rehearsal dinner. The food was amazing. The staff were professional and extremely responsive to all our needs. I have spent my entire life in the food industry and they are top notch. This place is the best. My company has order breakfast, lunch and snacks from here. The quality is superior every time. Their seasonal items are so worth it. Right now they have a Sweet Potato poptart I am obsessed with. The sandwiches are made fresh and there is such a wide variety. They make something for every diet restriction. For all the food they bring they make sure it's labeled so you don't have to guess what it is. For corporate events they are the go to.

Omgggg so happy people at work keep hiring this catering company.
they have a nice variety of healthy (fruits, nutritious sandwiches, parfaits, nutty power bars, etc.) and unhealthy but yumalicious foods (sweet pastries, cakes, etc.). they also bring coffee, sugar, and creamer.
the food has always been delicious and tasty, no matter which one i tried.
i have been on a diet for months but i broke it badly today
we throw events at my workplace often, so i'll be waiting in hungry anticipation until the next one.

Sinplicity catered a recent work event and the food was delicious, promptly delivered, and the employees were a delight! We ordered breakfast, lunch, mid-meal snacks, and appetizers. All the food got rave reviews - especially the trailmix, cookies, and snack platter! Highly recommend this catering company.

I have to say. Corporate America sometimes gets stuck in a bit of a rut. Especially when they are bringing in lunch for meetings. Around the middle of 2018 I was ready to scream if I saw one more salad or sandwich from Cosi or Fresh Connect. Then a group of contractors brought in lunch from Sinplicity caterers and I was HOOKED!!
Yes, I still got sandwiches and salad, but it was such a great variety and they mix it up every month and every season. They once had a "Pig Poppy" thing that was chips and corn pops and bacon and a kind of candied drizzle. Staff members are constantly asking

We could all use a bit more Sinplicity in our lives. Sinplicity ice cream and sorbets was something I was introduced to by a former coworker more than two years ago. Handcrafted daily in Falls Church, VA, Sinplicity makes tasty ice cream and sorbet concoctions by hand. According to their website, all the recipes are "cooked entirely in house. With the exception of a little vanilla extract here and there to round out flavors, no compounds or extracts of any kind ever enter [the] kitchen."
Not only does Sinplicity have stores in Falls Church and Reston, they also drive a food truck (which

I got..
Chocolate chip cookie
Sugar cookie with lemon zest and pistachios
These were both above average chewy cookies. I liked the chocolate chip one better than the sugar cookie (not too much of a pistachio fan and the lemon zest was more like dried lemon fruit...a little too sweet for my tastes.)
However, I'm only giving three stars bc they were a bit pricey. I got two cookies for $3.30, when Whole Foods was only two blocks away and gives out equally good cookies for 99cents. Also, the GW farmers market has these really good giant thumbprint cookies that come in packs of 5 for 4

If I just order the ice cream/sorbet, I just feel like ehhh, it's ice cream.
But when I order the Sinwich, I'm in heaven. Macarons and ice cream? Genius.
Eating a regular macaron (even from Macaron Bee) will never be the same, because I will always think of Sinwiches, wondering where my ice cream is. The macarons provide the perfect crunch to the sandwich, without being too heavy, the way cookies would be. I've tried the Black & White, and the Tipsy Strawberry. Both were amazing, though the macarons on the Tipsy Strawberry were a little sweeter than I remember the Black &

Super creative menu. I was VERY impressed with their artisan and sorbet selection at the Truckeroo 4 event.
Must-Tries/Haves:
Strawberry Shortcake Biscotti w/ chocolate chips and Grand Marnier -- A perfect pairing of flavors and ingredients.
Mocha Macaron "SinWich" w/ Cappuccino Crunch (w/ chocolate covered almonds and amaretto) - WICKEDLY, SINFULLY DELICIOUS!! -- The macaron itself was light and airy, but even more satisfying when paired with Cappuccino Crunch. It is jaw-dropping GOOD.
See pictures.
I really wanted to try their Heath Bar cookie, but they only sell them 3 at a time
