The NC Pre-K program provides FREE high-quality pre-kindergarten education for families who qualify. The NC Pre-K classrooms are offered at participating Cumberland County Schools, Head Start programs, and licensed four and five-star private centers.

Our vision is to live in an economically prosperous community where families are successful, and children thrive. Our mission is to achieve our vision, we will be the driving force to engage partners to achieve lasting positive outcomes for all children, beginning at birth. What we do is focus on support for families with children birth to 5 years old.
We know parenting is hard and we also know that you want the best for your child. So do we! We are here to provide Fayetteville area families with support through referrals, resources, and subsidies. NC Pre-K is a free, preschool program. The classrooms are in 4 and 5-star private centers, Head Start classrooms, and select Cumberland County Schools.
We are proud to partner with SafeKids in order to bring car seat safety checks to families across Cumberland County. Get your car seat professionally checked by a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) at a car seat check-up event or a car seat inspection station. You can also attend an educational workshop with SafeKids to learn more.
Families need high-quality child care, and we are here to help you find it. We are happy to help you in person, on the phone, or you can use our Child Care Search tool to find the right child care for your family. Your family might qualify for financial assistance to help pay for child care! We administer a Smart Start funded program* that helps income-eligible families send their young children to high-quality early care and education programs.
The Partnership for Children is proud to host the Diaper Bank of North Carolina's Truckload of Hope. Because of the Truckload of Hope program, we are able to provide FREE diapers for families who qualify. For your safety and convenience, we provide a drive-thru diaper distribution. Each registered household receives one supply of disposable diapers per child.
