Worst experience imaginable with totally perplexing owner interaction today, when inquiring if the 'free verbal estimate' that is posted on their window and in advertisements was available, while sincerely looking to purchase a gold band for a gift also. Owner scoffed and said 'that's only if purchasing something,' rolled eyes, walked away and to the back room shutting the door. So bizarre. He had more words, when he responded to my asking his other employee in the store if i'd said something to offend that would solicit his response and dismissal of my potential as a client or customer, but overall

I adore this family-owned Jewelry store! Ricky and his family have helped me with fixing broken vintage earrings, watches, and most of all, I had a diamond necklace that was too fancy! I gave them some ideas and got a necklace and an eternity ring out of one necklace! My husband liked them too--he finally got a wedding band he actually wears after 30+ years. I have never in my lifetime been treated as rudely as Ricky Poe did to me today! Thursday September 2,2021. He was rude, obnoxious and other words I can’t mention. Told me to get out of his store and never come back. I have done business with him and his family for at least 5 years and had great experiences but today WOW! First he demanded I make an appointment and I said ok when I get back to my car I will call and make one. Didn’t realize I needed one. Then as his wife had her back to me I said “Hey Cindy can I get a watch battery?”

I would give the owner of this store 0 stars if I could. Something is very wrong with this man! As stated in many of the other reviews, this owner not only has no people skills, but he has rage issues. I witnessed him fly into fury when I did not understand what he was saying about repairing my jewelry. He was hateful and condescending, and even unkind to his dog. I had been a longtime customer of Georgetown Jeweler, but I'll never go back. The owner, Ricky Poe, styles himself as a do-gooding Christian, but actions speak louder than words. I've seen him speak harshly to his son in front of customers, but the last time I was there, I had just received my Covid vax, and conversationally asked him if he had received his. We are new to town and I needed to get my solitaire diamond ring repaired. I am nervous about having any work done on my ring that consists of it leaving the jeweler's store. I used to like this place and went to them for fixing broken things, they did an okay job about 2 times with some of my jewelry. However, I went in today and saw no customers wearing a mask, and then I noticed that no employee had a mask on, it was a pretty creepy display of rebellion against safety. I had to leave, I don't think I'll be back. I just don't feel comfortable going to a place is a covid hotspot... if you are considering going here please know that it is a serious health risk and there are better/more ethical options

I went to Georgetown Jewelry in search of a custom engagement ring and wedding band. I showed them the design I wanted, and not only did they make it happen, they exceeded my expectations! The rings are GORGEOUS, and I'm so happy I get to wear them for the rest of my life.

I don't shop anywhere else for quality diamonds at a fair price. I bring my watches to Ricky to repair because I know he will do it right and I won't shop for diamonds elsewhere because Ricky won't screw you over.
Albert p maybe you should teach your kid not to run around and think a jewelry store is a playground. Geez.
I deal with people all day long and to see Ricky interact with others is simply inspiring. He has so much patience and i see him going out of his way to make people happy.

I had such an absurdly terrible experience at Georgetown Jewelry that it would have been almost comical if it hadn't involved a vulnerable child. My 3 year old daughter and I were in the store waiting for my watch band to be replaced. We had looked into the display cases, my toddler commenting on all the pretty things, and went to sit in the small two chair waiting area at the front of the store. A young sales associate was in the repair area, working on my watch while an older, more dignified salesman was helping two other customers.

I took my Seiko watch in because the crystal had a crack and I wanted a replacement crystal. I was told they would call me with an estimate. After two weeks, I received a call that the cost would be $69. It sounded a bit pricey but, because the watch was a gift with great sentimental value, I agreed to the repair.
In about a week, I was called to say it was ready. I went to pick

I inherited a ring from my late aunt, and since I know nothing about jewelry, I knew I need to have it appraised in order to get it insured.
