The Pandemic of 2020 has disrupted every aspect of our lives, the court system included. As we return to whatever the new normal may become, one thing is certain: the constitutional role of the citizen jury will remain at the center of our judicial branch of government. The Pandemic has not stopped wrongs from occurring, and it will not stop justice from being achieved.

If we at Coker Law may be of assistance to you during these very trying times, please do not hesitate to call or email. Rufus Pennington is Of Counsel with Coker Law. He has been a Civil Trial Lawyer for more than thirty years and has an established history of success in civil jury trials and appeals.
Services
I come from a family and practice background that taught me that the law is not just a business - it is a profession; and that our calling as lawyers is ultimately to public service. Although I have had the good fortune to represent corporations and insurance companies, most of my practice has been devoted to the representation of individuals - ordinary people confronting very serious, sometimes seemingly insurmountable, problems.
As do all attorneys, I often represent clients without charge, i.e., on a pro bono basis. Each week, I try to spend a few hours helping people who, due to personal circumstances, need legal help but cannot afford a lawyer. I usually find this to be the most rewarding part of my work week. In the mid-1980's, the City of Jacksonville proposed to build a regional landfill that would have been located on the Duval-St.
However, simply having "the right to recover" for your injuries does not mean that you will actually recover for your injuries. Insurance companies do not voluntarily pay money on claims. In fact, insurance companies are large corporations in the business to make money. The less they pay in claims the more profit they make.
